| "Customer service is the rudest I've ever experienced." |
The following is an excerpt from a letter I've recently written:
"AAA Platinum Plus Visa has taught us an extremely valuable lesson. The lesson is that, although we always pay more than our minimum payment ahead of schedule, card issuers – no matter their attractive introductory offers – will likely raise our APR at-will and regularly due to the variable interest clause. Although we have called that company more than once due to the fact there were two deaths in our immediate family within four months hence the increased usage of the card, the company has refused to negotiate the interest rate increases. Their customer service rep, when I called after my Mother's, then Father-in-Law's death, told me "business is business" and that their was no manager available to speak with me. This card issuer has apparently teamed with several other companies to form a conglomerate with the sole intent of driving the middle-income class into poverty while fattening their coffers."
I'm making it my business to pay this card off ASAP. |

| "aaa visa platinum plus / service" |
I've been trying to find AAA visa and had to look for almost 1 hour. I need help asap.
Another item: On line "D" (Would you recommend this Credit card?) There should be 3 options: 1--YES 2--NO 3--UNDECIDED. I'm undecided. |

| "Cardholder Experience" |
We suffered a period of cash flow problems related to my husband's self-employment part-time
business and had missed payment dates incurring late charges and raises in interest rates. All attempts(phone calls and letters and online requests) to contact a customer service "live" person to explain and discuss the problem went
unnoticed. Raising the interest rate on our card will only ensure that it will be even MORE difficult to settle this account. |

| "It reallly is a bad company and should be reported" |
| I was told that I had a promotional rate until 1/27/06. I paid off my balance early before the promotional date. I phoned the customer service reps before hand to make sure of the date. They said yes 1/27!!! So I paid my bal 1/17 and they changed the rate on 1/3 and hit me with a 100.00 finance charge. I phoned the co. 2 x and both times they said I was the one who was in error. They were mean, rude and when I asked them not to speak to me in this manner (I am a teacher and pregnant) they said oh well, there was nothing they could do and hung up. I can't even believe this ever kind of thing happens with a co. logo of AAA. Anyhow, save yourself the trouble...and don't get this card. Florida |

| "Slippery Slope" |
I was telemarketed by this credit card. The bait was to be able to have 1.9% interest on transferred balances. Unfortunately I went for it without reading the fine print or asking the proper questions. I transferred from a very legitimate credit union that I have had a credit card with for approximately 5 years. I was receiving 9.90% on my unpaid balance. I transferred my balance and was 3 days late (posting) on my 3rd payment. I noticed my next statement contained a
$39.00 late fee. By the way, I truly believe that they want you to be late and may in fact be slow in posting so that they can reach in your pocket for $39.00. I would love to know what their annual receipts are for "late payment fees". I also noticed that they had changed my interest rate to approximately 19%. My alarm bells went off big time. I tried to deal with several customer service reps and received a lecture from one of them telling me how important it was to be attentive to my "financial responsibilities".
In any case, I spoke with someone who claimed to be a manager who transferred the rate back to the
1.9% and removed the $39 fee. The next morning I went onto Yahoo Financial and looked up the headquarters bank in Wilmington and got to the switchboard. I asked for the president and I think I reached his admin. I told her that I thought that her that MBNA was less than honorable and that my experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. She feigned being apologetic and I ended it up letting it go at that.
I am actively searching a "good" card so that I can transfer out of AAA Platinum Visa.

| "RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS AND UNFAIR LATE FEES" |
I received my first bill while I was on vacation. When I returned, since the bill was due the next day, I tried to pay by phone, but there is a $15.00 charge to do so. I called customer service the next morning and I was told by an extreemely rude woman that I should have paid by phone because now it was going to cost me a $29.00 late fee. I told her that I thought they could cut me a little slack since it was my first bill and this situation was out of my control. I had no luck and closed my account.

| "Rate Increased and Late Fee" |
I received an offer to transfer my balance from another card. The rate offered was approx 2.9%.
I did not receive a bill which was to be only my second bill since transfering. They consequently raised my rate to 8.9% and charged me a $39 late fee. I feel this was a deliberate attempt on their part. After only 2 months with them they were able to raise my rate by 6% and get their late fee. Good business people !!!!! Be aware. |

| "AAA Platinum Plus Visa" |
| Paid on time, paid more than the minimum & they still increased my rate based on credit information completely unrelated to them. I called to cancel the card and the representative told me that the balance is still subject to rate increases even though the card is canceled. Isn't that lovely? Don't let the 0% intro lure you in to this one. AAA is a name I trust. MBNA is not. |

| "to whom it may concern" |
| I did a transfer rate of 4.7% and two years later they raised my rate to 24% because I had other credit card debts. I was never late with a payment and never exceeded my credit line, made more then the minimum payment but they raise it anyway. I wouldn't advise anyone to get this card. |

| "Don't Be Stupid!!! Stay Away from This Card!!!" |
| I would recommend my worst enemy to stay away from this credit card. Well for starters I had this card for 3 full years. I opened with a fixed 7.9% APR. Great Rate!!! Until I noticed one month, 3 years down the road my interest jumped from 7.9% to 17.9% I freaked!!! So I called Customer Service spoke with "3" So-called Managers just for them to tell me that 7.9% was no longer available and they had every right to increase my rate. They notified me in my May statement. And let me recite how they notified me. "There has been an amendment to your account. Effective June 1st the Gas Rebate cannot exceed $2 . . ." Does this sound like "we are going to increase your interest almost 3 times the amount of interest you are use to paying???" NO! Well I canceled the card and withing 3 months it took me to pay off my balance AAA increased my interest 2 more times. The ending interest came to 20.74%. Can you believe that?? I can't! Well to make matters worst I overpaid AAA by 24.00. But now according to their records and the time period I paid them off, I now owe them an addition 39.27 for interest accued. If you even think you will get a good deal with this credit card you are more foolish then I think anyone can be after reading this. Well for now on it will be my Purpose in life to let anyone know about how bad this credit card really is. If anyone knows of a class action lawsuit please post it, I would love to be part of it!!! And hopefully drive AAA Card out of business for good! |
