"Took my bailout $$, then SCREWED me? SHAME ON YOU!"
Jacked my rate higher than the Late Payment Penalty APR and I've NEVER been late. Now that I'm paying more than the minimum payment to pay it off early, they're not applying my payment in accordance with the Credit Card laws.

Paid over $2200 on 12/31/11 and they applied interest on 01/04/12 for a balance that was paid off. WTF?

We should start a Facebook revolt on this company.

"unfair practices"
After making one late payment due to financial difficulty over 4 years ago, my rate was raised to 30%. I have paid religiously since......and after the first 6 months began calling them to try to get my rate lowered. No dice.....I call every month and get the same "we're sorry that isn't possible at this time" answer. I can't wait to get this card paid off and be done with it!!!
 
Most attractive feature: none that I can think of
Least attractive feature: absurdly high interest rates even after paying on time for years

"Outrageous interest rates with excellent credit"
The interest rates are ridiculous. I have had my card for over 10 years and I have excellent credit. My interest rate is still 19.9% and my entire balance has been paid off for seven months. That is ridiculous. It was 29.9% a few years ago because I missed on payment...ridiculous as well. I was told that I should be happy with the 19.9%.

"Unhappy"
Pre-Citi there was a thing called customer service. Now it is all about the bottom line. It seems like the ones with good credit are paying the price for Citi's poor financial decisions. Citi increased my rate to 30%. I never missed a payment. They did this while I was deployed to Iraq.

I called and was told there was nothing they could do. My rate when I got the card was 9.9% now it is 30%. 30% is the rate people get when they don't pay, why am I getting that when I do pay?
 
Most attractive feature: They lowered my rate when I was deployed.
Least attractive feature: They raised my rate to 30% when I got back from Iraq.

"Account Closed Involuntary due to Interest Rate"
I have been a member for 8 years was not notified that account would be closed if I did not agreed to their new interest rate. I called to get my balance & found out that my account was closed Feb 2011. Paying off & cutting the card.

"Citi sucks"
Cranked my rate to 30%, I opted out and paid it off on Monday. Tomorrow I will call to close it. Just noticed on my card I've been a member 10 years. No longer and never again. Sorry Citi, you take my damned tax money to bail yourself up and then boot me in the ass? I don't think so.

Least attractive feature: Blood-sucking leeches.

"Lost another good customer to American Express"
I have canncelled all of my automatic billing through this card and switched to American Express.
After 20 years as a customer with an excellent credit rating and no late payments I will not continue to pay a 30% interest. I will pay off my account and never use this card again. They are cutting their own throats by treating good customers this way.
 
Most attractive feature: No annual fee.
Least attractive feature: 30% interest for 20 years with no late payments is unacceptable.

"Another Customer Lost due to Poor Service"
Like the person before me..I have had this account for close to 20 years. CONSISTENTLY pay off the monthly balance every month so I carry no balance. With no warning, the card was declined two times this week - this made no sense since I mailed in the payment on time and have over $18,000 of available credit. I called..and just like the person before - was told my account was "FROZEN" because of a late payment. I told them the payment (of about $150) was mailed on the 1 - the charges were declined on the 12th. They claim the payment was not received until the 15th. There is no way - I live next to a postal hub (meaning my post office sends/receives mail 24/7) and things are literally received within a day of my placing them in the mail - no way did it take over two weeks. I pleaded my case to two supervisors - one of whom hung up on me after announcing she was closing my account. When i called back it was listed as "closed at customer request" and I was told I would have to reapply to reopen it. Re-open it??? Not happening - I only wanted to know if I could access my rewards. Horrific experience - guess she did me a favor by cancelling the card. This is how you treat a long time member who pays off her bills in TOTAL every month for almost 20 years? Very sad state of affairs at this company. Stay away from Citi!!!!

"How to lose a good customer."
I'd had this card for I'm guessing at least 15 years - probably more. Pay bills on time. Never carry a balance. Had card declined twice over past few days and called and was told it was because a payment of $13.47 had not been received. I'd probably spent $50K on this card. I explained payment had been sent electronically and funds withdrawn from my account. Guy insisted not so. So I told them close acct. Got transf. to a "specialist" who promptly disconnected me. Called back and got put on hold for 10 min and got a lady who said that yes the payment had been received and she could find it because she was smarter than the other folks. Then she kept trying to get my card reactivated despite the fact that I told her to close acct. She went from saying how smart she was to how it had been a long day and she was tired. Got transferred to another specialist who said the problem was that I had just recently received this card in the mail and it had never been activated. Told him I've had it 5-6 months and if it had not been activated how did the charges from service stations etc. get onto my account?? Hello -- Peggy??? Peggy??? Glad to be rid of these guys but what a business model. You lost a great customer because your incompetent and just flat don't care. Bye.

"Interest Rate"
I finally took a good look at my bill and almost flipped when I realized we are paying 30% interest. I had to call customer service to actually here someone tell me. She said we have a 29.75% rate with a .25 variable totaling 30%. Paying it off and CUTTING IT UP.
