| "they raised my rate!" |
| I was shocked to see a raise in my interest rate- to 30%. I have a higher-than 800 fico score, always employed, lotsa savings; haven't missed a payment EVER- not even as a teenager thirty years ago- and they pull this? One billing cycle later I had another card at 8.9% from my credit union. their customer service was below adequate. but what a trick to pull. what if i couldn't afford to get another card? then what? they are vultures. |

| "Raised interest rate drastically without notice!" |
| How can they get away with this? I have never been late on a payment. I've had this card for over 6 years. My interest was 5.9 & went to 29.9 in one month. They lied and said that six months ago they sent me an "opt out" letter which is a lie because I have received other opt out letters from other credit cards and jumped on them immediately. I do not ignore my mail. Customer service was not helpful and acted like they were in disbelief & shocked of this jump - good actors - because it looks like this is happening to alot of people. Stop using this card - it is poison! My monthly payment went from $160. to over $400. Wish Obama could see this post. Isn't this kind of price gouging just the kind of thing that he is suppose to be trying to prevent after we bailed them all out? I WANT MY TAX MONEY BACK SO I CAN PAY THIS CARD OFF. I'M GOING TO WRITE TO MY ATTORNEY GENERAL! |

| "Do not do business with this company" |
| Contact your congressman or you attorney general with your complaints about this company. Last month my rate went to 29.99% which I was told every customer received. The libor rate was 0.5% (what they base their interest on)which means pure profit of over 29.50% If you or I did this, we would be charged usury! Then after receiving billions of dollars of bailout money, they turn around and have call centers in India and the Philipines! When I told the malaysian I couldn't understand her, I was yelled at and told to "listen closer". I've had this card over 20 years and this is the way they treat their loyal customers. The only way to stand up to them is to cancel the card, pay it off, and hit them where it hurts. |

| "Interest Rates on the AT&T Universal card" |
| Citibank raised our interest rates dramatically this last month and could not offer any reason. They said they would return it back to the original rate but made us pay the higher rate for the last billing period. This should be some form of fraud but they get away with it. I'm wondering how many people just accept the new increased rates? |

| "Asked for lower rate" |
| I have had this card for a long time and over the years they increased my credit limit numerous times. I continued to use the card (we are building) and when they got my balance up to where they wanted it they raised the interest. I have always paid on time and over the minimum but they wanted to triple the rate and they use LIBOR so they are already above prime.Couldn't talk to customer service because they didn't want to hear it. Closed the account to keep the rate down. |

| "AT&T Universal card used to be the best under AT&T" |
| I have this card since it was first offered. I have seem its service slip from excellent to terrible. I have ALWAYS paid my balance in full and on-time. One time I forgot to pay and they not only zapped me with a late fee and a finance charge but also increased my APR to over 20%. It is usury. I called customer service and I could barely understand what she was saying. She was rude and had no respect for that fact how long I had been a customer. She refused to waive the late fee. Being a retired AT&T (what a great company it used to be) employee, I never wanted to part with this card. But I am cancelling it. |

| "Tricks of the Trade" |
| When my balance dropped below a certain level I was sent a "new rewards card" that included a 6% raise in APR. I had a stellar payment history that apparantly "earned me this new status." I paid off my balance and noticed a late fee on my next bill. My due date was moved up without my noticing. When I called to cancel my card the rep was extremely rude. |

| "mixed results...." |
| I have had this card for about 6 years now. I find the results to be mixed. Ok customer service and security. As far as customer service they seem to lack a little, but what can you expect when you are speaking to someone over seas. I was able to get them to lower my interest rate by calling them last week. We will see what happens when my next bill comes. Would I recomend this card to others???? Well...it doesen't impress or discourage me. |

| "WORST CARD I HAVE HAD" |
AT&T lures you in with a low interest rate. After I carried balances from other ccards they increased my interest rate. Due to my excellent credit my interest was only 5.25% and for months they raised and raised the interest until I finally cancelled. The interest was at 14.24% - WOW I went back to look month after month they would increase the percentage. OUTRAGEOUS, I tried to talk to them since I dont like to move around. But they were rude, I insisted that it was not until I carried a huge balance that they started raising my interest. My payments were only paying interest and would merely deduct from my balances.
This ccard has been know to scam people, they run your credit every single month to try and find you missing a payment so they can raise your interest. This company is greedy and does not care about its customers. |
