| "Credit HIKE" |
| When I was nearing the limit, they hiked my interest rate up to 37%. I called to ask why, and they said the interest rate is based on "my ability to pay off the balance". I was never late. I spoke with customer service and they would not lower the rate. (I have pretty good credit too.) This is a horrible card to have. |

| "Unfair interest rates" |
| Advanta almost doubled my rate to 37% eventhough I have paid on time every month over the past four years. Phone reps would not budge and offered no help **or** reasonable explanation. Beware of this company. |

| "Rate Change" |
| Received application in mail, looked good, figured I would apply. After I received card I transfered balance. One year 0% ended and I figured 7.99% FOR THE LIFE was not bad so I carried a balance. Received letter from Advanta shortly after saying that there would be an adjustment in the interest rate. From 7.99% to over 22%!!! Customer service said they are allowed to make this change. I questioned why such a large change...no satisfactory answer. I have a credit score 800 and have never been late for any payment. Be wary, they still advertise 7.99% for life, but life is short... they will change it on you too. I have since paid off the entire balance and will put the card to rest. |

| "Worst card and customer service" |
| We have had this card for over 5 years at a fixed rate of 7.99%. Out of the blue, they changed our interest rate to 26%. We never pay late, we always carry a nice balance for them to make interest on, but we also pay it down each month. Our credit score is 790...they have no reason to do this to us arbitrarily. The notice they sent said that if we used the card after a certain date, we agreed to the new terms. If we chose to "opt out" then they would close the card. Needless to say, I tried to contact a customer service manager 3 times. Each time I called, I received someone who spoke with a very heavy foreign accent, and was very hard to understand. Each time, I was promised a call back from a supervisor. It''''s been a week & I''''m still waiting! Don''''t be duped by this company. They charge a lot for yearly fees as well. You''''re better off with an American Express card **or** Capital One **or** Discover. STAY AWAY from "FIA Card Services" owned cards (Bank of America, also a FIA card, is doing this to their customers too). |

| "CROOKS" |
I hope this review keeps people away from this company. They send out very attractive offer letters and then approve surprisingly high credit limits. Then when they think they have you they jack the interest charge through the roof. I had NO late payments and had only used 50% of my credit limit when they decided to increase my interest rate to 35%!!!!! When I called in they claimed that my credit report had prompted them to make the increase. I logged into Experian that day. NOTHING on my credit report had changed. My credit score is 770 which is actually higher then it was when Advanta gave me their card.
THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND I STRONGLY URGE YOU NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. STAY AWAY! |

| "Advanta Credit Card" |
Advanta is the WORST CC provider on the planet. They will JUMP at the chance to invoke the default APR (29.99%) and will not accept ANY reason to revert bac kto the teaser rate, even with a letter from a bank explaining that the fault lay completely with the bank and was not the cardholder's fault in ANY way.
And....what is even worse, they string you along, promising to submit your case for review by an "account specialist". After MANY calls to find out why the review process was taking weeks on end, I finally received a letter announcing that my APR would by 14.99%, with no reduction to the teaser 0% rate and no refund on the userous finance charges which accumulated during the lengthy appeals process.
Anyone having ANY problems with this despicable company would be best advised to "cut bait" right away, 'lest good money go after bad.
My experience with this outfit cost me almost $1000. BTW, my credit rating is above 800.
I only wish I had never even heard of ADVANTA, or at least, dumped them at the first sign of trouble |

| "Customer Service does not want to hear about the problems" |
| Transfered balance to my account at 7.99%. Then next month they didn't send the statement ( i didn't get in the mail). And jacked my rate 30%. Life is ggod. Charging Interest at 30%. I called them and they said they are going to look at the problems. but they didn't do anything. every time i called, they say the same thing. |

| "No 0% rate, really." |
| When I got my (Advanta business) card, I noticed a 19%+ rate on balance transfers, so I called their customer service to find out about the 0% rate that was advertized. They "checked this" and claimed there was none, and offered me a 2.99% rate. (I think the guy just put me on hold for a few minutes, and he gets this call often.) I thought, "Not bad; better than my previous card." So I took it by doing the transfer over the phone. (I'm waiting for my first bill just to see that I really got the 2.99% rate.) |

| "Switched the APR" |
After two months Advanta charged me a finance charge. When I signed up I was sure there was 12 months 0% interest. I called and they told me that was for TRANSFER Balances. I had no Transfer balances. I went to their web site and saw that they were offering O% on Transfer and 0% interest for 12 months. I called them back and told them this and the man said he couldn't change my account. I left ADVANTA and in the process of opening another account.

| "This Card is a Bad Idea" |
Got this card for my business for the cash back/rewards program - which I eventually realized was capped at $300/year.
Ordered 6 cards for employees. Was absolutely assured that they would arrive by date x, they didn't arrive until a week later, and sent to the wrong address. Since this ended up costing me lots of money, I called them no less than 5 times over a 4 month period to request that a manager/supervisor call me back to address this - never heard from anyone.
Customer service is not open on weekends, hard to believe but true.
Also, they put a hold on my card for a bogus reason - and declined my card while I was entertaining prospective employees. I never carried a balance, never made a late payment and spent $40K on the card up to that point - they apologized, but offered no explanation why.
My statement on the website was nothing short of absurd, incorrectly showing double and triple charges, showing an inaccurate balance - perhaps this had something to do with having multiple names/cards on the account. It didn't exactly instill confidence. |
