| "Amsouth Steals By Shuffling Incoming Charges" |
| I had used my debit card over the weekend for 5 different minor payments. Tuesday morning I checked my online account and saw all were in the pending column with a positive available balance of $179.00 still left. Later that morning I went online and ordered a new pool liner for my grandkids pool. I mistakenly used my debit card (dumb, dumber, dumbest because I use Amsouth). I realized what I had done about an hour later and called and had them reverse the charge and charge it to a credit card. Too late! Amsouth reshuffled all the pending charges by the next morning and charged me overdrafts on all (including the pool even though the pool company reversed the charge). Talk about creative thievery! I called to complain and was told too bad! I have had this account for 14 years but am closing it this weekend. I have had nothing but bad experiences since Amsouth took over First American which was my original bank and always treated me fairly. |

| AmSouth uses creative banking practices to steal your money out of your account telling you money is already reserved for purchases that were made on your card than if a check hits they bounce all of the charges and charge you the 30.00 dollars for everything you purchased amsouth are legalized thieves who use your purchases to steal your money, and apply different rules each time. With amsouth unless you keep daily track of your account online, you'll always be missing money. Their legal thieves |

| "amsouth bank credit card" |
| the amsouth bank credit card is a good card to have in your wallet. It was very easy to get it. I have a checking account w/ amsouth so they gave me a pretty good interest rate. My wife and I both carry a seprate card. The only bad thing about this credit card is that the customer service at amsouth bank is to not all that well. On the other hand the internet banking function is a dream come true. I would totally encourage anybody to get one of these cards. I would be stranded with out my amsouth credit card. When my children get old enough i will certainly have their own amsouth card! |

| "great card" |
| this is a very good card to have this is the best card i feel anyone can get the card can be used anywere you might need it i have use this card on trips it has never gave me any reson to go to some other credit card it has a nice look to make you feel great when you use it and when my friends seen me use this card they thought that guy has good credit but in fact i dont but they gave me the anyway so i could try to get another start on getting good credit |

| "AmSouth should teach its employees how to use mail" |
| In short, 5-7 business days has now turned into 33-35 business days! Granted, losing my card was my fault, but should I be expected to make 4 (yes 4) phone calls before these people even put in the order for my card? And when the card finally comes in, I learn that they bonched up my pin number, meaning I have to wait another "5-7" business days to be able to use my check card! I'm sure I'll be writing again in another month or so when I can use my card, God willing. |

After dealing with Amsouth Bank I have decided it is just better to keep my money between my mattress. The overall dealings with Amsouth bank in general is overwelmingly unpleasant. They are willing to cause overdrafts, chargeoffs,
and/or anything that will give the bank a fee. I have dealt with other banks before, and by far this was on of the worst banking service I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
Although, my card was not actually a credit card, I kept getting credit charges put on my account. Plus if a check or is close to the balance in your account, they will take their fee off of the top and bounce the check.
I recieved 14 bad checks because they
were too worried about their fees, and not worried about cashing the checks.
They even bounced a check, after I had made a large deposit, because the
check came in at nine a.m. and they did not want to register my deposit until 4:00 p.m. the same day. The problem with that is that the deposit sat their for 2 days before they actually registered the deposit. When you ask for details, They have no problem telling you that there was not enough money in the account to cover the check
and thier fees at the same time, so they deducted the fees and then bounced the checks. I lost my drivers license because they caused a check that was written to the DMV because after the fees were paid I was .14 cents short on covering the check.
But what gets me, is that I was supposed to have free checking. But every time I turned around there was another fee that had to be paid. |

| "Why I like AmSouth Visa" |
| Being a customer of AmSouth Bank in Port Charlotte, FL has been a rewarding experience especially since they provide a variety of credit and debit cards to choose from. We chose their Visa credit card and ATM card for the purpose of using their services in off times. Due to our working schedule we are not always available to use the bank when they are open so we bank with the ATM. It has been convenient and quick. |
