"rewards"
Since they changed the golf card to blue, the reward points are not able to be accessed from 11/08 to 3/09. Is that service??? No

"Callaway American Express Card"
I use this card anytime I can and have received rewards quickly, including a whole set of Fusion irons which I use exclusively now. I have had great success with customer service and have even been advised to wait for a new product which would be out shortly instead of ordering one which was about to be replaced.

Most attractive feature: Whole set of great Fusion irons for using the card.
Least attractive feature: On catalogue online; have to order by mail.

"Golf Rewards and General Card Service"
Redeeming award points is a terrible ordeal. The reps don't undestand the progam any better than I do. The points are not near as rewarding as other similar programs. Give your rewards program a call and pretend you want to redeem points and just see what I mean. Also, too many places no longer accept the AMEX card. I see no advantage to holding an AMEX any longer. Finally, trying to log on to the web sites is extremely confusing and awkward. Your card program has really deteriorated over the years!!!

Most attractive feature: courtious reps
Least attractive feature: on-line and telephone support confusion

"Double Bogey "
I got this card for golf equipment but it's nearly impossible getting equipment. Amx service is very poor, very, very slow and quite disgusting. I ordered a wedge two and a half months ago and am still waiting for it. The snow will be flying before I get it. Yes, I plan to dump the card very soon.

Most attractive feature: None
Least attractive feature: Very, very difficult redeeming golf equipment.

"Overall: Just OK"
I travel, so it's not too difficult to accumulate points. I've gotten several nice rewards from the program. It is a bit chintsy on the point/reward side, though. Unlike others, my experience has been good. AMEX & Callaway have responded timely.

Most attractive feature: It's still a bonus
Least attractive feature: Limited rewards; a lot of points

"Terrible service for golf rewards"
This card stinks! You can't get a golf rewards catalog. Why don't they let us get into an American Express rewards program that is a servicing thier customers with competence!

"American Express is the Card!"
I am now 35 years old, and I received my first credit card while attending university some 15 years ago. It was a green Amex, and for me at the time it was great. Since I gave my father an additional card, I had monthly bills sometimes about 10,000 USD. After about 2 years I was offered to upgrade to PLATINUM! I was 22 years old! A student without a job, but a very generous dad! Anyway back in 1992 a Platinum AMEX was rarer as a Centurion card today. Most person had never seen it, especially not here in Austria. Moving to Austria however, I cancelled the card for an Austrian Gold card, at the time Platinum was available only in the USA. In the meantime I have had corporate Amex, green and now some different types of AMEX Gold through my Swiss Bank. When it comes to customer service, I think it really depends upon which AMEX company has issued the card. There is definately a difference between the US, Austrian, German and Swiss customer reps. What is important to me is the flexibility the card offers. I can always use the card while travelling, regardless of how high my charges are. In addition, no card company will replace a lost or stolen card as quickly as AMEX. Lose you Visa card over a holiday weekend in Europe, good luck! I am currently considering applying for a Platinum card issued in the UK, in order to have the status of Platinum again in Austria, and hopefully even better customer service. I am interest what AMEX will offer as being more exclusive than the CENTURION????

"Service is a Farce"
I have been a member since 1992. It was a nightmare trying to redeem points. Lack of communication with their rewards department. They listed a golf vacation in Marco Island, Fl that did not exist at the time. Futhermore, it took several calls to obtain your reward. I plan to abandon this program ASAP. Sometimes, several phone call to no avail at all.

"The golf rewards program is awful"
American Express treats this card and its reward program as if it no longer exists. I agree with every negative review posted here. I believe every positive review posted for this card was done in error. Seriously. This is a credit card, not a no-limit charge card. Some of you are mistaken.
I, too, have gone through the 5 or 6 calls trying to get a copy of the points catalog. I, too, have gone through the explanation of why they should have a website dedicated to the rewards. I, too, have saved for a long time only to see (in one case) the product removed from the program and (in another case) the points cost nearly double. I just wish Amex would let me treat these points as standard Membership Rewards points so I could spend them and dump this card.

Most attractive feature: It looks nice

"Golf non rewards"
I ordered a Swiss Army watch for my son's 13th birthday. Anticipating a delay, I ordered far enough in advance to compensate for a delay, but it should not take 3 months to redeem points!! Lousy service, lousy attitudes and nothing but excuses.

Most attractive feature: Are there any????
Least attractive feature: It took way too long to redeem for a Swiss Army watch.
