| "Late Charges" |
When I made a purchase of $10.50 before Christmas, I never received a bill. Then I began getting "late charges" which in four months have now translated into a bill of $82.
Needless to say,I cut up the card and returned it along with the first late charge bill I received and asked for an explanation.
I kept requesting a copy of the original bill, which I finally received in March and immediately paid.
However, I keep being harassed by phone calls from a Mrs. Green and bills demanding the "late fees".

Well, it took about an hour on the phone with various people, but I finally spoke to an account manager, and the problem was solved. I was able to get a card. This was just a ridiculous situation from the beginning. But this manager was very helpful, and I have to be honest that I now have more faith in this company for the help she was able to offer. Just ask for Pam if you ever have an issue that needs to be resolved. |

| "Applied for a Card, Was Denied Due to "Fraud"...but I could get one if I pay for it! ??" |
| I just want people to know, from what I've read most do, not to apply for a card through this company. I have an A++ credit rating, and was shopping at the Avenue, when asked if I wanted to apply. I said "Sure, I've always wanted to have a card here anyway." So I did, and was not granted it in the store, or the savings percentage I was told was available if you applied for credit. That was an embarrassment within itself. But then, when I got the letter declining my credit, I called to ask why, and was told it was "due to fraud"...Whatever that means?? I was applying in my own name, for a card for myself. I don't understand the problem. However, I can appreciate someone trying to protect my credit from scams. But this is the kicker...the letter they sent me had said that I could receive a different card (for people working to build their credit) if I pay the $25 annual fee. Now why would it be okay for me to commit fraud, as they think I'm trying to do, just because I pay for the card?? I just think this is possibly the worst and most unfair business practice I've ever seen. It appears that to them it's okay to try and take advantage of me because of some unknown perceived error, but it's not okay to work with me to straighten out the problem, so that my good credit will not be blemished by a decline for a silly low-limit credit card. This shows to me how poor their service must be, and I will keep bugging them until I get the card, just for my own satisfaction. But then I intend to cancel it. The last thing I need is to be bothered with unfair fees and whatever else they can come up with. |
