| so far so good. this card helped me reestablish my credit. i had this card fo approximately two years with no problems. now i am approved for other cards. I don't know when will I get my security deposit |

| "Great Card" |
| Even though I began with this secured card in order to reestablish my credit, it has been worth it and my money is in a savings account.Anytime I have a question, they are prompt in their on-line answers. I like the on-line payment the best. |

| "Credits" |
| I made a payment of $500.00 on my $1,500.00 secured card so that I could have funds and travel insurance to PHX AZ 7 April 05. Even tho the check was cleared from their own Banco Popular Bank (my Acct) they would no release the funds until 15 days later, 21 April 05. This caused my reg acct with them to over draw and I was charged over $200.00 in fees. My min payment to MC was only $23.00- They take the monies paid by consumers on their accts and hold it for interest for themselves; that is fraud and theft. I am beside myself with discomfort and misrepresentations from this bank. They took over Quaker City Bank and never even told the acct holders. I did not agree to any of the Banco Pop rules; my contract was with Quaker. I am closing this acct and moving to CitiBank. I am reporting them to the Comptroller of Currency for an audit of the accts. Believe me, it is a complete and utter hassel for them and will take them months to complete. We will see how well their english holds up in a federal inquiry. Ah ha ha, Banco. |

| "I paid the advertized balances" |
| And the still require *additional* minimum monthly payments that don't show on your statement. If you dont' pay both the minimum+90 day feature, they hit you with a late fee. Very confusing at best, fraudulent at worst, I canceled mine. |

| "Banco UnPopular" |
The usual reasons:
If you pay on-time, you get a late fee. They call you and harass you even though you paid ontime; and you can't understand a word the customer svc rep is saying! It's like they employ Cuban refugees or something. Let's just say English is NOT their First language. Their accents are so heavy, its annoying and I'm Puerto Rican!!!
What's worse is that if you're credit limit is $750, you can only use half the amount on the card which is $325. They lie and they steal money.
My Credit Counselor was disgusted by their awful tactics and says I have a case and that I should see a lawyer. But I can't afford one!! |
