| "Bank of America Platinum Plus Visa" |
I've had this card for many years and have no complaints. I primarily use my Delta Reserve credit card for the benefits. However, at least once a month I run across someplace that doesn't take American Express so it's not uncommon to have a bill from this card as well.
It's important with this card to advise them of your travel plans before you travel. I've been slightly annoyed on trips when I did not follow this. On the other hand, when I either call their toll free number or use the Live Chat feature from the BOA website, I've always been treated with great respect. It' also awesome that you can go to www.benefitinformationcenter.com - put in the first 10 digits of your VISA Card # and get up to date details on the benefits associated with your card. There is so much confusion about what benefits are really associated with your credit cards, specifically associated with Rental Car Coverage and it's nice to read the true facts before you rent a car. I've no complaints about this card and since BOA charges me no annual fee and I pay no interest as I pay my account in full each month, I really feel it's a great deal. |

| "Good Student Card" |
I've had my Platinum Plus since 2007. I still have 6.24% on APR and Balance transfers. I haven't been using it much lately because I've had a few introductory 0% cards that I'm working with but I'll be making the switch back to this card shortly.
As others have said, there's no rewards or anything like that so for monthly expenses I use a combo of AMEX/Mastercard. But for long term expenses I can't beat 6.24%!
The customer service isn't BAD like everyone on here will lead you to believe, its just indifferent. I don't expect my credit card company to "care" about me, just treat me fairly and they have done that including helping me negotiate out of some suspect charges 2 years ago. They did that, and I kept the card alive even when I qualified for better cards. That's fair right? The online tool is ok and works most of the time (except when BOA announces debit fees and everyone gets online and crashes the system of course). |

| "General Card, get another one that has rewards." |
I had some sort of BoA card before this one. In April 08 I accidently hit "lost *or* stolen" when calling and BoA automatically closed the account and set me up with this card.
It been a year since I paid off the card. Last Novemeber I owed 110% of my limit.
Since then my CL has gone up from $4k to $10k and I was just recently able to get them to lower my APR down to 9.99%. I am waiting to see if they will convert that card into a World Points Visa Sig card. I should know this week and if I will post what they say.
I see this a generic card. I would go for something other than this once if you could. |

| "Changed the rules" |
| Originally, there was no interest if the entire balance was paid within 25 days of the statement. Last month, when I had refinanced my house and was paying off bills, I called to confirm this with their customer service. This month I get a bill with interest, even though I had paid off the entire balance well within the previous month. Their customer service people saw my original discussion and credited me for last month, but made clear that from now on, there would always be interest on the account. |

| "Bad customer relations, bad customer service" |
Recently I transferred some money from one of my wife's credit cards (that had a high interest rate) to one of my credit cards. At that point, Bank of America increased my interest rate to 27.9% per month. I have NO late payments on any of my credit cards or other loans. When I called Bank of America to ask about the rate they were charging me, the customer service representative was rude (suggesting that I enroll in a debt reduction program). I asked him if there was something I could do to reduce my interest rate, he said, "Pay off most of your debt." I have been paying more than twice the minimum payments on all of my credit cards and have never made a late payment to Bank of America.
Thanks guys! I'll close the account as quickly as I can... |

| "afraid to use" |
| We were MBNA customer for 20 yrs. Seemless and worked great. BOA comes along and I'm on the phone with them every month. I even cancelled my card that I held since 1985 because I couldn't get through the merger with hugh hassles. With what I make an hour, I could bill them for about $7500.00 of my time spent on the phone trying to solve problems. I'm afraid to use to card due to the fact, "I NEVER want to talk to them again!" |

| "Things have changed since BoA bought MBNA" |
| I've had my college alumni Platinum Plus card (originally through MBNA) since 1995. I've never had any issues or problems until BoA acquired MBNA. I called to see if I could get my interest rate lowered since I was paying 14.99% having never been late, or missed a payment or gone over my limit. The customer service rep was one of the rudest reps I've ever dealt with. I was told that he would notate my account that I had requested my rate to be lowered and that it would be reviewed in 6 months. I told him I would close the account and pay off the full balance. They simply don't care. I agree they must have too many customers as is. I paid off the balance in full and will never use this card again. |

| "Buh-Bye" |
| I have had this card since '99 when it started out as MBNA. Well one bad CSR experience later, am I'm dumping them. I thought I was going to be a day late paying it, talked to someone on the phone who was just a complete jerk to me and did not even care to help. I closed it on the spot after having been a customer for 8 years and never been late on anything. Go online and turned out I could express pay it, without any fees, and got there in time anyways. Point is, customer service was just terrible, and seeing how easily I closed this account without any follow-up, apparently BoA has enough customers at this time. |

| "Bank of America Platinum Plus Credit Card Review" |
| I just recently recieved my BOA Platinum Plus card about a month ago. First off, I applied around the time that they merged with MBNA and applied on Oct 29,2006. After repeated calls and frustration I ended up getting another credit card in the meantime. It seemed as though they were dragging their feet about getting the card sent to me, anyway I got it around Jan 11, 2007. I was kind of surprised because I had given up on getting the card. I don't have time to set around and wait on the bank. Ok. Next, I love the fact that I can pay the card online through my online banking. The payment posts in 2 days. It has Total Security Protection and they review your account every 6 months for a credit line increase. I'm re-establishing my credit and I have found this card to be very useful for what I am accomplishing. It is from a huge bank so it looks good on my credit report in addition to paying it off every month. I got a $500 with a $99 collateral. Alot better than the fully secured. Apparently they do not advertise this card. So apply for a regular card, even if your credit is bad, and it will counteroffer with this card if your credit score isn't that bad. I haven't had any problems with this card so far. In addition, the new card design is attractive. Looks good when I take it out. I haven't had plastic in 3 years. But I am young, 23, and am capable of making the payments. I love my card! I'm keeping this one! |

| "poor customer service" |
Everything was fine until a month after account was closed. After closing account and actually getting a rebate check (for overpayment) a new state ment shows up with a $5000 balance !!!
Called customer service, had to pull teeth to get a supervisor and when we explained that our CLOSED account now had a huge balance we were assured everyhting would be taken care of. Shortly after we called to check the balance and it still showed a balance with interest this time. Spoke to another supervisor and was assured everything would be taken care of. The next statement came still carrying a balance with interest and a late fee, after being told to send no money because the account was closed. Still trying to resolve as of today. |
