| "outragous charges" |
| We got this card when our friends moved up north thinking we could visit them with airmiles. My first beef with this card is the turn around time on my billing. I don''''''''t know if the problem lies with BMO ***or*** canada post, but when I receive my bill I only have 1 week to pay it. If a bill is late they charge interest on all purchases till 2 bills are paid on time. So even if the next months bill is paid in full by the due date you are charged interest on all the purchases. Second beef was with airmiles, after using this card I hate for two years we went to book a trip for my family - 8 months in advance and were told we couldn''''''''t travel together as only a certain number of seats on each flight are allocated for airmiles. Very unhappy with the whole experience. |

| "You people are crazy to like this card" |
Example:
Let's say you spend $50000 per year to a credit card. On a credit card like VISA where you earn points associated with a frequent flyer plan, you will have 50000 points which will get you 2 free tickets anywhere in continental North America.
Assuming you get the fee Air Miles card your $50000 expenditure gets you 50000/20 = 2500 Air Miles. That many miles won't get you 2 tickets to anywhere very far from home and it won't even get you 1 ticket anywhere in North America.
Air Miles is a total ripoff and they just keep jacking up the miles you need to fly anywhere. Air Miles was never any good and it just gets worse each year.
OK, suppose you spend $25000 a year. I can get a free ticket anywhere in North America. All you get is a lousy 1250 Air Miles which gets you pretty much nowhere.
We are Air Miles collectors -- BUT only when we happen to get them. We do not go out of the way to get them. |

| "Great Card!" |
I have used this card for a few years now and I love it! When I had problems with the magnetic stripe not working, I called them and they prompty sent me a new one.
There are two draw backs. It has a high interest rate (I make sure to pay it off on time) and you can't check your statement online easily. |

| "Love the Airmiles!" |
Hi,
I absolutely love the Airmile Mastercard! WE use the card in cinjunction with the plain Airmiles card to double up our Airmiles quickly at certain stores like Safeway and Shell. It adds up really fast, and the rewards are really neat and useful too. I totally recommend this credit card! |

| "MasterCard Airmiles Gold" |
| I am writing to say that I have always been against credit cards... until I disciplined myself to pay it off every month. I now use my airmiles card to pay for everything possible. I use it for groceries, hair, restaurants, golf, gas, etc and simply pay the balance off each month. It is amazing how well it works for you to earn airmiles... My husband and I went on our honeymoon and used our airmiles to pay for our flight to and from our destination of Comox. We had a wonderful time and didn't have to worry about paying for our flight or hotel, as everything was simply put onto our card. We also make our church donations on our credit card and collect many airmiles even where they are not usually given. I think everyone should have a Mastercard Airmiles credit card. It saves you time, money and having to run to the bank or write cheques for everything.. and we are insured and the warranties are extended on purchases that have them. I love it. |
