| "Sta y AWAY from this credit card!" |
| This is probably the worst credit card I've ever had. I sent them a check to pay a bill in full for $XX and they cashed it for $Y, much less. Then they called me to demand payment! Told me there would be a late charge, interest fees, etc. I pointed out that they made the mistake and the guy agreed that he could see the image of the check but that I had to pay the balance over the phone right then and there! I of course fought back and got him to promise me a new statement with the balance and no charges. They called back a week later and demanded payment again! Again they promised a new statement and no charges. A few days later I check my checking account and they went back and re-cashed the check for the remaining balance! Not a word to me! And let's not forget that the customer service people acted like *I* was the one who had done something wrong. This may be the worst customer experience I've ever had. Cabela's you've just lost a credit card customer and I'll never shop at your stores again! |

| "Cabelas Club points revoked" |
| I was a loyal paying customer and build up over $600 in Cabelas Club points. Then they canceled my credit card and now I have no points available. I guess when times get tough, Cabelas is willing to screw its customers to help the bottom line. |

| what you want to do is get the card and not spend any money with the 25 dollers they give you. They will give you $10 free if you make five perchases in 30 days. Go buy lunch, a drink, or anything else cheap because, they dont give you a minimum on the 5 perchases before you get the 30 dollers. You also need to only limit yourself to purchse groceries and gasoline because, you dont want to get in debt, and pay off the monthly payments ON TIME. |

| "Should have known better" |
| Signed up when they gave me a free hat, so I should have known better. First off I didn't get the card instantly when their card stamper ran out of plastic, but the bank wasn't told so I didn't get a card for almost 3 weeks. Second their mailing sustem is pathetic. I never got mailings. One time I got a notice of a rejected payment almost 60 days after the payment was made. See I made all my payments over the phone, always have sufficient funds, and always paid off the balance each month. My bank told me they never even got the check charge, and the correct account number was given. Finally their online system requires your FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO SIGN UP FOR EBILLING!!! BIG NO NO!!! NEVER PUT IN YOUR SOCIAL ONLINE!!! So, poor security, pathetic mail department, poor customer service, worst card I ever had. I expected a lot better from the "worlds foremost outfitter". I'm cancelling this week. |

| "A Great Card" |
| I have had my CABELA'S Black Visa card for over 8 years and have not found any of the problems or issues that have been posted here. All credit card companies have adjusted their rates and qualification components as a result of the recent banking reforms. Remember, if you pay CASH, it only cost you half-price! |

| "Very Happy" |
| Its a great card tailored perfect to a family like ours. My husband loves the card and the rewards points and my kids are able to have cards they can use as well. Somehow someone got a hold of our card number and they contacted us within 10 minutes of the transaction to cancel acct and get a new number. They saved us a lot of time from having to deal with trying to get our money back from the potential shopping spree that was about to happen and the representative was very pleasant and reassuring in a stressful situation like usual. I would recommend this card in a heartbeat. |

| "Worst Credit Card ever" |
I have had this card for seven months and everytime I have had a customer service issue, their reponse has been completely unsatisfactory. Last week my card was declined at a merchant. I called customer service an they told me it was stopped because of unusual activity. I asked why they did not call or email me instead of waiting until I had it declined I call them. They told me they didn't have time to call me and I can sign up for email alerts. The email alerts are for notification of unusaul activity, not that your card is shut off.

| "Cabela's Credit Card Scheme!" |
| This it the worst company I have ever dealt with. They didn't tell us that our low rate was just for the store. Then about halfway through the first year they doubled our rate to almost %20. Then to top it off the next month they cut our limit in half! We have never missed a payment and never had a late payment. Then to make it all even better. We got a letter in the mail saying that our card had been cancelled and we owe the amount in full as of now!!! Isn't that illegal? No warning no nothing. This is a very shady company and I would advise others to not risk their credit with these "people". I will never shop at a Cabela's again! |

| "Cabelas Visa" |
Poor customer service. Made 2 payments in one month, the 2nd was for the next months statement but it was posted before the closing date so I incurred a late fee (my first one) the following month. Explained what happend, would not wave fee. Paid off balance over phone then closed account, then they were more than happy to wave fee. No thanks.
Does not work well with financial software, Quicken would always have to make a .10 or .17 adjustment when reconciling. Never figured out what the deal was with that.
Only plus is if you shop cabelas enough to benifit from the club points.
Cabelas really need to find a better financial insitution to deal with

Had the card for several years, not always on time with payments but very close.
Received a notice from my cable company today saying my card had been declined. Since my credit card was set to automatic monthly draw for my cable bill I now had to pay an extra $25 to the cable co.
Get on the phone with Cabelas VISA and find out my card is on credit hold. Why I ask? Because I tried to buy something online on the 5th of December and they couldnt talk with me to confirm it was really me. It is now the 20th of December, so I ask how did it get to this point? Well they call you one time and then put your account on hold till you call them back. No other communication, postcard, follow up call, NOTHING.
Tough cookies to me about the monthly draw I've had for cable for 3 years from this card. I owe the cable co for the decline fee and no help from Cabelas because they held my card.
The punchline to all this?
I had a credit balance in my account more than the monthly draw was.
Well at least they're sending me a check for my balance. I closed my account when nobody would cover the $25 dollar fee. Take my business elsewhere. |
