"Pass"
I had a dispute over a bogus charge from a car rental company. The issue was pretty straight forward, but MBNA couldn't get it straight. I sent a letter of explanation, and copies of the receipt I signed and the receipt after the car company altered the amount(!). I got three different letters from three different reps, none of whom seemed to know anything about the case. Pathetic. Plus, MBNA was one of the largest contributors to George W&#'s campaign -- thanks a lot.
 
Most attractive feature: low rate, low introductory rate
Least attractive feature: incompetent customer service

"Terrible customer service"
I signed up for the California Alumni card with a free CAL blanket--had to repeatedly call to be sent blanket. Also, they raised my APR 7% overnight. I never had a late payment. I just paid the minimum for a short period of time b/c I was in a financial bind. They knew that I was a conscientious bill payer and took advantage of my situation. It should be against the law--it is a scam. DO NOT choose this credit card.
 
Most attractive feature: None
Least attractive feature: Raised my APR from 11.99 to 19% overnight.
