| "worst customer service ever" |
As a conscious citizen, I am aware of my obligations towards my country, and I fulfill it by paying monthly payment on time to the Capital one credit card.
I called to dispute two charges, I reached after being on hold for two hours, a stupid agent who I could not understand , she hanged up on me, I called again another one answered after being on hold for an hour, also she did not understand, I asked for a supervisor, 45 minutes later, she was no help too.
Those employees who live in GUATIMALA they have no authority to do anything; they also have a hard time understanding ENGLISH.
This was something new to see and experience from a customer service department for a big credit card company. I was expecting full cooperation and professionalism from somebody representing CAPITAL ONE, but I was left disappointed. I hope they will take this complaint seriously and employ American who knows and understand the importance of good customer service

| "Fraud dept stops just about any large purchase. " |
| Their fraud program stops any large purchase over the internet to an out of state vendor, and they either decline or decline and put your card on hold. They have even questioned recurring automatic payments to my Gas co. I dropped them after the 4th hold between myself and my wife's own card w/them. And their customer service folks are all either foreign and hard to understand or very poorly educated americans. |

| "Worthless for business/No rewards/" |
| I have had this card for over five years. The limit remains at $1000, worthless for travel- we desperately make 3,4 or five payments every month, just so the card can keep up with business travel. Despite an impeccable payment history, Capital One offers NO increase, but encourages trying evry three months, only to get declined. They have charged me $35.00 on several occasions for being less than $5 over the credit limit, yet decline charges for extending credit beyond $10.00- WHAT A RACKET!- outrageous percentages. loyal customers are disregarded. |

| "Never late or missed a payment - APR's doubled" |
| I have been with Capitol one for years, made ALL payments on time and they doubled my APR. Their reason was due to economic situation and their risk factors all their customer were accessed higher APR's. DO NOT USE CAPITOL ONE! They are not willing to help one of their customers with excellent credit history. |

| "Worst company. Worst Customer Service." |
| I made an error on my end with an electronic payment that was returned. I corrected it but Capital One got the payment late. I understood the late fee, it was my fault. I made my subsequent payments on time. But Capital One counted the returned payment as another payment due. So its system counted me as behind in my payments and deliquent in my account. 8 phone calls to Capital One, each time I was assured the error was corrected. It was never corrected and had a negative impact on my credit history. I paid it off and closed my account. My advice to everyone is never to do business with Capital One. |

| "The HASSLE Card" |
| I have had this card for over 10 years. I had a dispute with a merchant last November. It still hasn't been resolved. I keep calling and I keep getting the run-around. But they made me pay the bill ($1,200) or else. They never said why this is still unresolved even after calling every week. They also lie and have given me false information about my dispute. They just want to take your money. The worst customer service I have ever seen. Stay away unless you want to be HASSLED! |

| "Unhelpful, Mean, Not Technologically Savvy-- completely unuseful for small business" |
We applied for this card for the rewards. Within the first month of having it, I quickly discovered how unuseful it was for our business bookkeeping. You can't download the card activity until a statement has been posted, as opposed to choosing your own download dates (which puts me a month behind in bookkeeping-- not good for billing clients). (Ironically, I received a mailing touting all their online features the other day-- even though their features are prehistoric compared with Chase).
What's worse, when I paid the first time at 2pm on the due date online, they claimed it was "late" b/c they close at eastern time. I know this scam from other card companies, and I think it's baloney. If you pay online day of, there should be no late fee. But late fee there was: $35.
When we called we had to go through a million numbers and menus, and when we finally reached a representative, she claimed that she could only put in a "request" to take off the charge. Again, wiht my chase cards, I never had to wait... they always took such charges off immediately. We informed her that we would cancel our card and they'd lose about $10K/ mo of our business purchases, but it made no difference.
In short, you have no power as a consumer with this product. Don't go near them. We're sticking with Chase. |

| "capital one horrible to me" |
| I have a Capital One Visa, formerly with a credit line of $3500. On April 29, 2007, they LOWERED my credit line to $1996, claiming they made a mistake when they approved my aplication. My good history was not taken in to account. When I called to complain, they didn't care. Sorry, there is nothing we can do. It was a mistake. Horrible customer service. This put me over my limit by $204, so they could charge me an over limit fee. I will never use it again, I'll pay it off and close it. Worst card I have. Pleanty of hassle, despite what they say. |
