| "Be very careful" |
Unlike most financial institutions out there, Charter One Bank loves to impose NSF fees on its customers. The proof being that instead of being in the 21st Century and being "real time", that is items clear in real time or close to it, Charter One Bank will "sit" on smaller transactions then wait for larger transactions, push the larger transactions through first, then down to the lowest amount transactions. Prove me wrong on that Charter One Bank, yes that's a challenge to you to prove me wrong!!! Proof positive, on 08/18/2006 I used my debit card for a $5.00 item, this transaction didn't go through UNTIL a $200 check attempted to clear on 08/22/2006. Prior to the check clearing there were sufficient funds to cover the $5.00 transaction. So let's see, it takes 4 days for the $5 item to clear? That's a bit extreme, even if the 2 days were weekend days the $5 transaction should have cleared on 08/21/2006.
Personally I'll be closing my account with them very soon. In my opinion this kind of robbery should not be allowed. |

| "Debit/Credit Card Fraud" |
| I have been inconvenienced. Several checks have bounced, I have to wait from 7-10 days for an investigation; in the meantime, I have no $. I live from paycheck-to-paycheck. Whatever system you use for accessing debit/credit cards via telephone needs a drastic change because somebody got me. |
