"BAD - BAD - BAD CHOICE!!!"

With all the other cards out there to choose from I don't know why anyone would ever want to deal with Citibank - PERIOD! Of course you might get caught like I did with Citibank buying out the original card we held. They have been taking over a lot of them the past few years. Is this getting to be a monopoly?? It was a done deal before we even knew what had happened. Then my husband died unexpectedly and it took some time for me to try and get his business affairs straightened out. I tried to work with Citibank & keep them up to date on my progress, promising to pay them just as soon as I had funds available. I met with nothing but lies, lies, and more lies from them plus abruptness and downright rudeness most of the time. They continued charging me late fees, resulting in higher interest after specifically telling me they would put the account on hold for a period of time. My head was spinning with my bereavement and myriads of details and I did NOT need the added harassment of at least 3-4 phone calls daily - a different rude person each time - threatening and dunning me for immediate payment. Are they so big that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing? Evidently so. I deliberately put them at the bottom of the list and ended up making a settlement. Bad for them because I would have paid them the full amount. Also a little bit bad for my credit, but worth it if only for the personal satisfaction and sense of justice. I vowed to NEVER do business with anything or anyone connected to Citibank ever again. Once was more than enough!!
