"Annual Review"
I agree with TJ with respect to the fees. I have carried the card just over a year and after 6 months with them, I received a $350 credit line increase. I dont like the interest rate, but compared to many variable rate cards it is right there in the same bracket. The website is easy to use, but the system for email notification of payments always seems to run days, if not weeks, behind. I paid my bill on 07.12.2006 & received confirmation via email just today. If you have a choice, there isn't a need to carry this card. However, it does give the potential for secured credit line increases for those individuals that aren't on top of things and repeated pay bills late.

"Worst Service Ever"
I got this card as part of my project of rebuilding my credit scores after a few mistakes. After only 3 mos. with this card, I lost my wallet and they told me I had to pay $30 for a replacement card. Additionally the fees on this card are outrageous ($6.00 per mo. just to have the thing in your wallet?). So, I wrote CC Bank a letter complaining about the fees and their lousy customer service on the phone. What was their response...they surrepticiously closed my account without notice. I had been a flawless user of my card...never late, never paid less than double my minimum payment, and they just dumped me for writing a complaint? I will NEVER do business with them again.

"Someone used my account number/no satisfaction"
There were charges on the credit account not made by myself, without MY signature; This seemed like a good company to deal with until then. Somehow two of my credit accounts were used by someone else, as well as my personal info. I've had a horrible time with these people, they wanted me to pay for charges not made.

"SUCKS BADLY!"
I called to close account. The account had been paid of the month before. The CS argued and said it wasn't. I wanted to talk to a manager, on hold and she comes back and says they were going to close it. No fees. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK! IT SUCKS BADLY!

"2 years of persistant calling"
Here is how inept these people are. For about 2 years now Cross Country Visa has been calling me at work, monthly, asking about my payment. Well, I have never had a credit card with them (their customer has the exact but common name as me). They then ask is my birthday is xx/xx/1953, I say no it is not. They say, what is your SSN and birthday? Well I am not telling them that. I don’t have an account with them nor will I. So, since I won't divulge my personal information to them they keep calling me at work? The scary part is how did they match my exact name with my work number? How knows. I have called their corporate office over and over again but it is just not worth the effort any more. I feed sorry for the real card hold because when they call me now I just tell them I am not paying because it is to hot today, maybe it will be cooler tomorrow. The phone gets silent for a minute, then I hang up.

"Great Card"
I would have to agree with Deny back on 1/5/05. I have never had anything happen to me like some of the reviews have said. Most of them are regarding late payments. I work in the banking field and I have to be honest everybody has a story for why their payments are late. But the fact is you have to pay these accounts on time to avoid their charges. If you have the internet check online when it is due, if not call and find out. You don't have to always wait until you get your statement (the us postal service has its problems too). So take a few minutes and make sure when your payments are due. Read all the fine print, its all there, what their charges are you just have to read it all. I will have to say this I have 3 credit cards and they are one of the quickest ones who post payments. If you pay by check and its a high dollar amount you have to wait 7-10 for that check to clear (which is smart, considering they are dealing with high risk). Alot of what we would call good people write bad checks so I do understand the policy of waiting for your payments to clear. I am happy with my card and they have a few different things that they offer you as a card holder, check out their website and see for yourself.

"Help"
I am another Dumb person who got a Cross Country Credit card I have been
of work do to illness. I have no income what . I have been receiving calls
from them,. Now they have turned this over to a Attorney. Who will get a
Judgement against me.
Little do they know , but I know that in PA to get a Judgement you have
to go before a District Justice. Likely their plan of action is to have
this " hearing in Pittsburgh " and not let me know and as I will not be
there I will lose by Default.....
This is PAril 21, 2005. Mark my words , that is what they think they will
pull.

"Collection Tactics"
I would like to make a formal complaint regarding the business practices of Cross Country Bank and its collection agency, Applied Card Systems. I had a Visa and a Mastercard with Cross Country Bank. At some point, they discontinued their Mastercards and transferred all Mastercard accounts to visa. Because I already had a visa account, someone called to discuss consolidating these accounts. At that time, these two accounts had balances approximating $1700 and $1900 each. At some point in 2003, my payments became sporadic. In early 2004, my account was charged-off and sent to a collection agency. In October 2004, in an effort to ease my financial obligations, my father paid a settlement to Select Financial Services, a collection agency attempting to collect my outstanding CCB account in excess of $3000. In December 2004, another agency, NCO Financial Services attempted to collect monies for this debt. After sending them correspondence corroborating that I had satisfied this obligation, I never heard from them again. Then, an agent, claiming to be from Cross Country Bank's Wage Garnishment Division called me in February 2005 threatening, that if I did not pay him $3035, that he would garnish my wages. They do not have a wage garnishment department. They have a Recovery division of Account Services. After explaining to him that I understood that this debt had been satisfied, he told me to forward him proof that I had satisfied this debt, which I did. Furthermore, I called Cross Country Bank's customer service, provided my social security number, and inquired about my account status. I was told that I had one account listed on file and that it was listed as settled through an agency. Now, on March 30th, the agent calls to threaten me again, claiming that I still owe this debt, that CCB said I had two accounts and only one was settled, and that I would have to contact the bank directly if I believed otherwise. I immediately called CCB and spoke with a supervisor who said that her records showed that my account was never consolidated. When asked why Cross Country Bank would wait so long to come after me for this supposed debt, she informed me that once my account goes delinquent "they could come after me whenever they wanted." The end result of our conversation was that she would investigate my account and get back to me within 48 hours. I never heard from them again. Then, today, the "wage garnishment" agent called me again, admitting that he knew Cross Country Bank did not get back in touch with me. He suggested that I "take care of" this debt and "worry about my dispute later." Furthermore, he said that I had to pay this by April 11th or he would sign off on garnishing my wages. I asked him to put something in writing and mail it to me. He said he could only fax it to me and requested my fax number. Because I do not work in a facility that has a fax nor do I have a receiving fax at home, I asked why he could not mail something to me. His response was that "I was obviously not trying to cooperate" and that he was going to sign off on wage garnishment beginning Monday. Then, he hung up on me. When I immediately called back, another agent answered the phone and said that Rob Hunter was not there. After I explained what happened with Mr. Hunter, Mr. Reeves began reading things from my file, which were absolutely untrue such as that they had been continually trying to contact me via phone calls and correspondence for months and that I had ignored their calls. In addition, he said that the results of my investigation was that I owed this debt, despite the fact that less than a half hour before Mr. Hunter did not know what the results were. I believe my account was consolidated, charged off, and settled. This Bank has been rude and threatening towards me, been uncooperative, and dishonest in their dealings with me.
