If you have a problem with your miles getting posted, forget about ever getting it resolved. American Express says talk to Delta, Delta says talk to American Express. The customer service representatives seem clueless on how the points are applied and when. No one wants to take ownership in resolving the problem. I will be cancelling this card.
Most Attractive Feature: doesn't have one

Delta double miles at gas stations, etc

04/27/2005
While AmEx promises to give you double miles on all your gasoline purchases, the reality is they don't. They neglect to say 'participating' gas stations, and instead use the misleading terminology 'qualifying' gas stations. The gas station must choose to participate, most don't and AmEx refuses to give a list of 'qualifying' stations. They then make you wait 3 months to apply the miles to your account, naturally hoping you will forget what is due you. AVOID AMEX!

Late statements!

11/18/2003
This card has been in use by my business for too many years to count. I have enjoyed the miles earned on the card in the past. However, it has been increasingly difficult to redeem miles and our statements arrive consistently late. By the time we receive our statements, we must pay the bill within 2-3 business days (not the usual 10+ days from other cards offering a 25-30 day grace period). Statements are typically mailed from across the country 2-3 days AFTER the closing date on the statement. Add the typical 5-7 day postal route time there and back and 20 days is gone in no time! American Express denys that they mail out the statements late and suggest that it takes 10 days for the USPS to mail the statement from the East to the West coast EVERY month. Nonetheless, it has been an ongoing hassle with American Express and we are taking our business where it is more appreciated - bye, bye AmEx!
Most Attractive Feature: High credit limit
Least Attractive Feature: Less than 20 day grace period for all purchases
