| "The Fidelity American Express Platinum Card" |
I'm new to the United States, thus I don't have a credit history nor have any residential or employment record in my credit reports - I even did a check after my cards are approved. Here's the story: I opened a brokerage account with Fidelity Investment with a $5,500+ deposit and applied for a Fidelity American Express GOLD card and was approved. Then I opened another account with Fidelity and did an inter-account transfer of the funds and reapplied for the Fidelity American Express PLATINUM Card and was also approved! This card has all the same benefits of the American Express Platinum, including royalty treatment at hotels (a list of over 290 hotels around the world; and VIP status at Starwood Preferred Guest hotels), special car rental upgrades, "Gold" member events, "Platinum By-Invitations Only" events, purchase protection and travel insurance programs.
Well, I don't understand it. The Platinum card is for people with excellent credit history which I thought. Yet I have the card approved easily. If you are looking for a Platinum card, I recommend that you open an account with Fidelity Brokerage with $5000 and apply for this card. If I can get it, I think you can! |
