"Great Customer Service"
This card comes with a generous credit line and reasonable APR of 11.99. One if its best features is the frequent offers for promotional rates although these tend to last only a few months so it is best to take advantage of them only if you can repay them in full before the promotional period ends. One reason I was attracted to this card is that MBNA contributes to a scholarship fund for law students based on card usage.

One of the most important considerations in selecting a card is customer service and MBNA's is top-notch. There is usually no delay in getting a knowledgeable representative on the phone. I have yet to run into a slacker when calling the 800 number. One time I discovered an error in the interest rate on my statement and the problem was fixed and interest charges credited to the account within a few days. MBNA's website is easy to manage. Payments are posted within a couple of days. Using the website eliminates the risk that a payment will not arrive on time. Ordinarily, the payment gets credited before the paper statement even arrives in the mail.

This card does not come with any extraordinary benefits such as a rewards program but this deficiency is outweighed by the reasonable terms of the card and the professionalism of the staff.

Most attractive feature: Excellent customer service, generous credit line, and promotional offers
Least attractive feature: Offers typical platinum card benefits plus a travel service I've never used
