| "worst card ever" |
I used to frequently fly through Denver on Frontier, so I signed up for this card to get the miles. At that time you could still actually find flights to redeem with your points. The APR wasn't great, but reasonable and there was no annual fee.So far it was okay.
Then Obama signed the CC Bill of Rights and about ten minutes later they jacked up the APR on my card to 27%! I had no option but to pay off the balance or get stuck with their rate. I immediately closed the account but paying off the balance took a little while because something like 95% of the minimum payment was interest. Then, even after I closed it, they would continue to lower the credit line every time I payed off a $400 or $500 incriment, which to the credit report agencies, doesn't look good.
DO NOT under any circumstances sign up for this card. You will regret it. |

| "Deceptive billing practices through their automated phone system and representatives" |
I normally pay my Barclay's Frontier Airlines World MasterCard bill in full each month by calling into an automated phone payment system. Recently, I missed one month's payment due to a hectic schedule and, when I realized my error (within a week of the due date), immediately paid that month's bill in full. I was assessed the normal late fees and interest charges that were to be applied to my next bill and was told that I would be credited half the amount of the late fee
given my history of consistently paying my bills off in full on time. I appreciated the fairness of the offer.
My concern is the following: when I went to pay my credit card bill for the following month I was informed by the automated phone system that no payments were due and was given no option for making a payment. I asked to speak to a representative and got the same story (the rep explained that since my last payment was made late and thus within the following month's billing cycle, my monthly payment was supposedly already made). But I learned upon further questioning that if I did not pay my bill by the original due date that I would be assessed interest charges on everything that was past due. So, I was being deceptively discouraged by the representative (and even prevented, via the automated phone system) from paying my bill despite the fact that interest charges would be accumulating if it was not paid. I ended up paying my bill in full plus the full interest and late fees for the previous month through the representative with whom I spoke (and will supposedly receive the credit for half the amount of the late fee on my next month's bill).
I find it extremely deceptive and unethical of Barclay's Frontier Airlines World MasterCard that their phone system told me I did not owe anything and gave me no option for making a payment when in fact I would be accruing interest charges if I did not make a payment. Luckily I asked the right questions of a representative who was also less than forthcoming about this practice. Consumer beware!!! |

| "Help me find my early returns account number" |
| I signed up for this card and it came. Then they changed the terms on me and upped fines and apr and stuff. Now I realize I was never sent the early returns account number so I could claim my miles. I'd like to know how to merge those miles with another frontier account |

| "Beware of Frontier Mastercard (Juniper now Barclays Bank)" |
I have had this card for years now and have never been a problem customer, in fact, I just paid my balance in full a few weeks ago.
I went to charge a Christmas gift on my card today and it was declined.
This is how I found out that Barclays had lowered my credit limit. 1 week before Christmas - no notice whatsoever.
I spoke with a colleague and she said her account is always paid in full (monthly) and she was declined at the grocery store yesterday using her Frontier Mastercard. She called Barclays and they said the put a hold on her card because they had charged a camera on it the day before (Christmas Gift). She said they have NEVER done that before.
A lot of us here in my office have a Frontier Mastercard and we are now worried that Barclays is not doing well - maybe going bankrupt, given the current economic situation. |

| "Frontier Card - Highly Recommended" |
I have had the card for over a year and have earned a free flight and numerous ski tickets with Vail Resorts, a Frontier partner. You can convert Vail points to Frontier miles or vise versa. My miles have been posted promptly and converted between the partners quickly and easily.
I only use the online payment option. It is very secure, easy to use and you can schedule the payment for the exact day you want the payment made. If you want to avoid late fees or charges, it is the best way to go. There is no fee for scheduling a payment date in advance. Their customer service is courteous and I have never had a problem with the account.
I would definately recommend the card for anyone who likes to fly to the rockies and ski (particularly at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge or Keystone) because of the partnership Frontier has with Vail Resorts. Frontier also grants free flights at only 15,000 miles. |

| "Beware late payment and finance charge fees" |
| I was delighted to sign up for this card because I am a strong supporter of Frontier Airlines. The 7,500 points to obtain the 15,000 mile reward was a good incentive and the animal card was cute. However I wish the experience of dealing with Juniper Bank on no one.For the first months things were ok, mileage points were posted promptly with Frontier. However their statements were taking 8-9 days to receive after closing cutting the 20 day grace period in half and requiring payment almost the next day after receiving them. That was ok as they posted the payment 3-4 days after mailing. However last month they posted my payment 10 days after my mailing it which resulted in my being charged $60 in late and finance fees on a payment that paid off the complete balance.Calls to customer service resulted in zero service. They were rude, non responsive,hung up and did not provide a supervisor call back when requested. I am now still contesting the charges with Juniper and am cancelling the card. I have noticed my other credit cards have at least a 5-7 day longer grace period. If you are looking for a frequent flyer credit card try United or American which deal with well know reliable banks not this fly by night outfit. |
