"Exceptional customer service "
I've been a cardholder for 4 years and during this time I have gone from a starting limit of 1500, to 12500 all due to paying on time , using the card once a month, and staying well below 50 percent of the limit. I always receive very low balance transfer offers that do not expire until the balance is paid, and customer service is just excellent!!

"Customer Service is totally lacking"
I have carried this card for several years, and have never paid an interest charge. My monthly charges are usually less than $1000, but once I nearly maxed out to the $7500 limit when I paid for my daughters Krispy Kream order for her pom fund raising. My card expired last December, and when I didn't receive a new one in early December, I called the customer service department, and was told one had been sent. These people could barely speak the English language, and I was without a card for another two weeks. I called a second time and still was without a card. I emailed them to complain and got a response from someone in India that could barely write. I will hold on to this card until buy another GM, and then look for another.

"Terrible Customer Service"
This credit card has by far the worst customer service I have ever seen. I had Capital One credit cards for a long time, and then I decided to switch to GM because of 5% rebate.
GM card customer service is nothing compared to Capital One's.
I’m very disappointed, but will stick with it. However, only until I get my rebate on my next GM car purchase. Than I’m closing it as soon as possible, and going back to Capital One.

"False APR rates"
Beware of GM card false advertisement of low interest rates. They will apply all monry sent to the lowest interest rate balances first and will not allow any payment of the higher interest balances (ie current month purchases) until such time that the lower balances are paid in full. Discussing with CS representatives gets no where and in fact, are quite rude about it.

"Why bother with this card?"
GM has TERRIBLE customer service. I have written to them with questions on my account and I get the same canned, computer generated response each time. I have charged over $25,000 with them in the last year and I have nothing to show for it. The rebate is a joke, the amounts keep going down, down, down.

"GM Mastercard"
As owner of a GM car, I was attracted to the possibility of receiving a reduced price on my next one, just by making purchases. The five percent per dollar spent was much more attractive than the one percent or so offered by most other reward type cards. While in the past this reward has not been usable on the Saturn line of cars, there have recently been promotions allowing the earned points to be applied even to the Saturn, which I am considering. As long as the automotice market remains weak, I expect this expanded redemption option to remain in effect. Since I pay the full balance each month, the high interest rate on the card is of no concern.

"Unbelievable People"
My mother in law passed away and I called all her card holders (only 2)for a final payoff. They took my name and phone number and then called me everyday for 10 days until they got the check in the mail. I couldn't believe it. My husband was going through a lot and to have them do this over $249.68 was UNBELIEVABLE. The other card holder was JC Pennys and they were very nice.

"EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE"
I have had this card for 3 years starting out with a standard card. With timely payments my limit was increased, rates reduced, and finally I made it to their platinum card after starting with only a $1500.00 limit. Whenever I Call to request a rate reduction I receive it, I get Great balance transfer rates and increases in my limit without asking. The agents are well trained and professional!!!!!!!!!!!

"Love/Hate Relationship"
I have only had the GM Mastercard since earlier this year and I have earned quite a bit towards the purchase of another GM vehicle thanks to the 5.9% that they give you back. The only problem that I have with it is that I must pay this account off within the grace period or else I am stuck with high interest rates and I do not like that for I have excellent credit and all of my other cards (which I have several)the APR is only about 6.9-9.9%. I do wish that they would reduce their rates and then I would charge more. I also hate all of the junk mail that they send out with their statements and ALL of the credit card companies do this.
