"PT was right/Citibank behind Goodyear Card"
I accepted the Goodyear card as a way to pay approximate 50 % of a major service bill. The selling point was no interest for 6 months, with the reasonable caveat that you make your monthly payments on time. That is understandable and no problem from my perspective. After nearly two months, I hadn't received a bill as yet, but received a notice that I was delinquent. I called the listed number on this notice and explained that I hadn't received a billing statement, but I was delinquent and accessed late fees. I talked to an operator and I asked him where did they send my bill because surely, I don't believe that I have received even one welcome aboard pamplet, billing statement or even an acknowledgement that I applied for a Goodyear Card, no nada! I found out that Citibank totally ignored my application with my current address information and sent my card to an address that was 6 years old. I had them cancel the card and reissue another because of the possibility of identity theft. After 6 months, I had made nearly $550 payments on $925 initial balance, and the most recent payment $70 would reduce the balance to about $350 plus the now accrued interest. I expected maybe $40 interest, but was shocked when my bill not only increased, but expotentially up to nearly $500 from the month before balance of $425. They received my payment 1 day late after the due date and charged $35 and interest that equates to 300 percent annually. In order to pay off this $400 balance or to even make a dent into it; I need to make a minimum of 2.5 times the minimum payment. Citibank is the most irresponsible company and bank that doesn't understand the first principle of dealing with people fairly and with integrity. I was caught off guard when I found out my Goodyear Card was a Citibank interest and I once again am muttering, "Let the Buyer Beware."

"Pay off fast and with cash"
I've had nothing but problems making payments on this card online and over the phone. If you do end up getting this card, pay it off before the 6 months of 0% interest is up and pay it in person with cash at a Goodyear facility.

"Lied to then raped"
I signed up and received this card based on the fact that I was told I could opt for 6 months no payment. I needed work done on my car and didn't have $400 to pay for it so this was perfect. 3 months later I get a delinquency notice and my credit score drops more than 100 points. I contaced goodyear to ask them to resolve this and their response was "it's not a bank error" so they can't do anything about it. I will never knowingly support Goodyear with my business and I will let everyone I know that they are a dishonest company that cares nothing for their customers.

"Terrible Customer Service"
I have had the card less than a year and have used it twice for buying tires. My limit was only $550 so it used it the first time and almost maxed it out. I paid it off in less that two months and they never increased my balance. I used it about 3 months later to buy another set of tires and I need more than the $550 limit. I called their customer service to increase my limit to $1000. They said they would check my credit and unfortunately I was no able to increase the limit. I then went with a cheaper set of tires but I was going to use the whole $550 in the process. So I had the work done later that day and when the shop went to charge my card with the bill it was declined. I call the customer service from the shop and they told me that when I tried to increase my limit and was delclined that it closed my account. I argued with them that they never told me that and if so would I be putting a set of tires on my car if I knew that ahead of time. I asked to speak with a manager and the only good part was that they finally agreed to put it on the card but it would still remain closed.

"Great card...If your smart enough to use it correctly"
The card is great, I have had no problems with customer service. Payments are reasonable. Rebate workd if you mail them in on time. I do not agree with the other reviews about the balance on the account or the rebate offer. I have had no problems. To all that want to complain about the payments and interest rate all I have to say is you signed up for it and knew what the apr was when you used the card. It is a great card and can be a big help if used correctly.

"Goodyear Stiffs Customer"
In April of 2003 I purchases 2 Goodyear tires for my 2000 Corvette. The tires cost in excess of $1,200. The dealer in Glendora, CA offered up rebate program where you sign up for the Goodyear credit card and pay the balance and mail in the rebate before the 90 days. I paid it off and mailed in the rebate 45 days before the 90 days were up. Goodyear never honored the $40 and now has my account in serious arrears and gross finance and late charges totally over $140.00. They have reported my account to the credit beureaus and I am now in court suing them. It has been the worst experience with any creditor in my life. I STRONGLY recommend you not ever using this company for credit. From speaking to them roughly around 15-16 occassions, they really don't have anything to do with the Goodyear company and appear to be a financial servicing outfit. Therefor they appear to not care about Goodyear's reputation. I am going to get more than a free set of tires from these outrageous clowns for the over hundred hours or so of my time thus far trying to get action on from these incompetent people. Again, STAY CLEAR OF THIS CARD!!
