| "HSBC & Household Bank" |
| There was a remark by this site at the end of some comments on the account shield program that Best Buy (which my card is) switched from Household Bank to HSBC. If you check out the websites for both of these, hsbcusa.com and household.com, it is clear that they are one and the same company. The credit protection for both companies is the same, you can be sure. Just thought you'd like to know. |

| I've been paying online (on time). THE LAST 2 PAYMENTS, did not go through (HMMM...) So I was charged a late fee twice. There is nothing wrong with my computer, I feel they get the payments, but claim they do not. So I had to enter them again, and call customer service to be sure they received them. They are snotty when I requested a lower interest rate. The lady told me I could not have one because I was late with my payment (But I paid it online 3 days early, and with a $3900 doller payment. Weird. |

| "HSBC Platinum MasterCard" |
| I still have a bankruptcy showing and a paid Federal Tax Lien showing. They offered me this card with 0APR for 12 billing cycles, then to 12.9%. There is no annual fee. There is no fee for paying online. They started me with a $300 limit. Almost too good to be true. So far so good! Oh yea, it is a cash back rewards card as well. |

My Union told me about this card and with a 16.25% rate I realize that I can get another
with better benefits. I should have stayed with my other card. |

| Least attractive feature: Receive bill with less than a 2 week due date so that you will get a past due charge. |

| "Cash Back Rewards" |
I have had nothing but great experiences with using the HSBC Credit Card. The best thing about the card is the cash back rewards.This card offer up to 5% cash back bonus:full 1% on first $3500 in purchases,between $3501 and $7000 in purchases recive 2% cash back, and over $7000 recive a full 5% cash back. The only problem is the cash back is limited to $300/year (first $11000 earn cash back rewards)
