| "Card issued without your permission?" |
| I've read a lot of complaints about cards being issued without permission. The reason for that is because some of the sales associates are issuing them fraudulently to boost up their store ratings. Generally, the more credit apps they get, the more money they get ($2 per credit app issued). Just RECENTLY, they are informing their associates of this and becoming more aware of this sort of activity. Any associate caught doing this will be charged with the crime of FRAUD. |

| "Good card so far" |
| I applied last week and was approved. The limit was only $150. I called customer service and asked how I can get a larger limit. The rep asked how much I would like my limit to be. I told her $400 and she raised it to $500. I'm very pleased with the card so far. The card is owned by GE Money Bank. |

| "on line convenience" |
The on line convenience is not so convenient when you can't get to where you want to go. I find it difficult to get to the payment option. Perhaps it's just a lack of know-how with my computer.
I also don't like the rewards coming off of an item if I need to return something. Otherwise just keep the store prices lower and forget the rewards!

| This is for the person who was unable to pay online - make sure you are typing www.jcpenneymastercard.com in your browser. There is another site not affiliated with JCPenney MasterCard and it's web address is a misspelling. That web address is www.jcpennymastercard.com. Notice that the second address is missing the second e in Penney. You can also go to www.jcpenney.com, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on credit card. |

| "People need to Read their Terms of Agreement" |
| When applying for your credit card, it is imperative that you read the terms and conditions!! Everything that everybody is complaining about on here is written in the T & C's (including Late Fee's). Under the TILA (Truth in Lending Act) A Credit Card Company ISN'T required to re-inform the customer unless there are CHANGES made to the terms and conditions they originally agreed to. When all of you whiners applied you agreed to be charged late fees, have your accounts upgraded to Mastercards, etc... Stop complaining and get educated! |

| was good in the beginning, but cannot make payment by phone or instore. tried to get website but brings you up to a site that lists all different credit cards. called customer service regarding this and was told something wrong with server site. terrible absolutely terrible |

| i have always payed my bill on time/online.i started recievibg late notices via mail that my payment was not recieved then charged a late fee. my bank contacted me to let me know of the online payment change,not monogram.thanks to my bank i was able to find the correct billing info. |

| "J C PENNEY "REWARDS???" |
| I HAVE HAD A JC PEENEY CARD FOR YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS PAYED MY BILL AT THE STORE. I WAS SLAMMED WITH A NEW "REWARDS" CARD WITHOUT MY PERMISSION THAT I AM UNABLE TO PAY IN THE STORE AND WHEN I TRIED TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE I COULDN'T EVEN TALK TO AN AMERICAN SPEAKING PERSON EVERYONE WAS FROM INDIA AND ALL I GOT WAS DOUBLE TALK. ARE YOU LISTENING JC PENNY? I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER THING FROM YOUR STORE.... |

| "JCPenney and Monogram Credit Card "Bank"" |
I have had a JcPenney card for years.
I purchased a e-gift card for my mother for Christmas which was never delivered to her nor was any notification sent to me- except the bill, of course. So I called
January- was assured that they would just reverse the charge and credit it back to my account
February - was assured that they would reverse the charge and the late fees and credit them back.
Late Feb - still hadn't gotten around to reversing those charges but were right on it according to the "supervisor".
March - more late fees had accrued and now equaled the amount that I originally charged. I was assured once again that they were leaving messages for the individual responsible for taking care of this and would send me an email when it had been completed
Late march - Still nothing so I pretty much just yelled for a while on the phone
April - Began threatening them with filing a complaint with the FDIC. They seemed t o pay attention to that for a moment.
Mid April - They have reversed the initial charge but not the finance charge. Sound surprised that I actually wanted that. Ya think??
Everytime I called the people who are supposed to be able to take care of this were off work. Apparently they don't work weekends, holidays or any day after 3pm. When I think about the amount of time I wasted on the phone with the customer service people.....
I will never buy anything from JcPenney again as long as I live. |

| I would like to know Why ?? I haven,t gotten my card I applied for it back in 01 13 005 they did let me charge 2 things that i have to pay for but No Card Yet !! |
