"Horrible"
Customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. I want to speak with someone who can speak clear English. I hate when someone just apologizes when they cant or wont answer a question.

"BEING HARASSED "
Being harassed and do not even have an account with this company. I have been called 4 times now by rude, lying, thick accented customer service (supposedly) representatives. I have also supposedly spoken with their fraud office and not gotten anywhere. I refused to tell these people any of my personal information, so that they could not change their records. I was also told that they could not tell me what state they were sending bills or notices to (sense when has the states become secret). I have also told these crooks that I have not had a master card in like 20 years and that I don’t make enough money to receive a Platinum card of any kind. I have told this company that what they have done is gone out to the internet and pulled an inquiry of my name and found a phone number attached to the name and it happens to be mine. I have been relatively nice, this is it no more any more calls and I am taking it to my states Attorney Generals office

"Lower Limit"
I opened up a Juniper Mastercard three years ago. I started with a $1700 limit. I used the card frequently, paid all payments early, anf then paid it off. Shortly after I was also given other credit cards via my bank and other credit card companies.Same with them, I used them, paid them early, and paid them off. In fact, because of my excellent credit history, they all gave me limit increases even though I didn't need them. JUNIPER, however, kept lowering my credit limit. The first time it was cut in half. I complained but was told that it was decreased because I had other credit cards and would go back up if I continued doing what I was doing. I then started using the Juniper card again to keep activity on it and ran it to about 80% of the limit then paid it off a couple months later. Juniper then again lowered it to $500. I called them and asked why and they stated because I had a lot of credit cards. I explained to them I also make ALOT more money now than when I first opened this card. I have alos recently paid off a few cards. The representative with Juniper/Barclay stated that he could see my credit report and that it was excellent (700+ beacon) and that I have NEVER had any late payments or defaults. I told him to either increase it back to what it was or cancel my card. He immediately said "OK, please tear up any cards you may have". I couldn't believe it, in today's economy, with so many people defaulting on their accounts, they were more than willing to get rid of the "perfect" customer. Unbeleiveable. I couldn't imagine Chase or HSBC doing this to me. Geez. Talk about a poor business decision. I will NEVER use this bank again.

"gougers"
Services started out great, then the downturn....
Got bought up by Barclays, decided to cut my credit limit in half. They said I didn't need that high of a credit limit since I never came close to maxing it out. Next, raised my rate from a good 9.99 to 14.99. Called to protest both times to no avail. The last straw, my wife inadvertently paid off my card with an old account number. I didn't complain about the excessive return charge, just paid it off out of the right account. I received a letter 2 months later telling me that my interest rate was going to be more than double---30.24%. I have never had a late payment in all my years with company. Even with the return, my payment was early. I called customer no service and basically they restated the contents of the letter I received. The "account specialist" suggested that I could either pay off my card and close the account or just keep the card as a backup. I believe they use these Indian companies so you can't drive over there and choke them. Anyway, lesson learned. I'll keep the card open with my whopping $60 balance just so these jerks can send me a statement every month. Since my interest can't go any higher, Maybe I'll max it out and just pay when I feel like it. |

"Juniper Credit Card Greed"
I took an offer from Juniper 3 years ago. Transferred a balance, paid online and never late. One day I see my interest rate go up by 7%, next month my credit limit is reduced by 30%. No explanation, no notice. I called to inquire and was told 'Too bad, that's life'. I paid off the card and canceled. This is a greedy, lying, abusive company (Barclay's). Do not get caught in their lies.

"Crooks!"
These people are crooks. I went from a credit limit *or* $2000 to $1400. Their reasoning? They were tailoring my limit to my spending habits. What? I rarely used the card. When it was used, I paid it off the next day, always! I do not believe in carrying balances on any of my credit cards. I said no problem, close this account along with my Airtran card as I have other credit cards that reward good loyal customers.

"It isn't that bad"
I got a Juniper Platinum awhile back. It promised a lower interest rate over my bank of america platinum about 1/3 actually. I am paying triple my monthly minimums and it is processed within two days. So long as I don't wait until the last minute to pay I know my payment won't be late. I think the problems most people have with this card stem from their own irresponsibility when it comes to paying in a timely fashion and monitoring spending habits.
If you're a responsible spender and pay attention to your finances you will do just fine with the card. I have no regrets with this card. |

"Avoid Juniper"
Avoid the Juniper (Barclay) card like the plague.
Customer service reps lied to me several times, and were completely uninformed (they couldn''''t care less) about my account. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they would either hang up on me, **or** tell me one wasn''''t available.
I can''''t believe a company can operate at such low low levels, and stay in business.
I''''ve also read NUMEROUS other complaints about them online (unfortunately I read these after I applied for their card).
I opened my account about a week ago (haven''''t even recieved/used the card yet), and I already know that I''''m going to close the account as soon as I finish this review.
Do not deal with this company unless you enjoy doing business with rude, uninformed, lying service reps, who couldn''''t care less about you. |
