| "Impossible to contact credit card services unless you are a cardholder!" |
| So, I went into a Lane Bryant store with my friend, she has been a long time customer and took me there. I spent $400 and was asked if I wanted to apply for a credit card. So, I gave my id, and the sales lady smiled and said "You're not approved". I questioned whether it would make a difference if she used my entire last name, not shortened as she did and she said she wouldn't try it again. She wouldn't call them for me and just threw a brochure at me and told me to call them. Well, the 1-800-888-4163 number on the brochure only works if you have a card. After reading all the comments below, I'm not even going to bother applying again. |

| "Dishonest and abusive" |
| I paid my account online in full. Apparently, the payment did not go through. I received no statement, but got a phone call two months after the fact stating I was two months late with my payment. When I asked why I had received no statements, the man became bullying, screaming at me, and never did give a reason for the missing statements. I got socked with $70 financial charges. When I researched World Financial, I found other similar complaints. I wouldn't wish this card on anyone I like. Of course, I closed it. |

| "Poor Customer Service" |
| I went into Lane Bryant to buy some items durning their sale. I was asked if I would like to try for their credit card and I said why not. I produce my driver license as identification which clearly had my address. To make a long story short two weeks later no statement, 30 days later not statement so I called. I was told don't worry a statement should come to you. Now, I received a call from someone with an very bad attitude who stated when are you going to pay on your account when I told them about not receiving a statment she curtly replied that she shows that my address is a P.O. Box and I told her no I don't have a P.O. Box I have a regular address she took my address down then said it is your fault you did not supply our company with a good address. I had to yell lady I did not supply you with a P.O. Box let me speak with your supervisor she prompty told me to call this 888-4163 because she was not going to connect me. If, this is the type of attitude this company provides you can keep it and the BBB will be hearing from me. |

| "payed card off in full, they lost it- THEY ARE RUDE" |
| I have been having a problem with this card for a very long time now. Every three months i would make my payment online through their website, then i would get a call saying that i didnt make the payment and i would get a late fee. then i payed my $30 balance off in full and didnt think to check the account since i wasnt using the card. For 6 months i was getting a call saying "we have important information about your credit card, please stay on the line." thinking to myself it was a telemarketer because if it were really important it would be a real person on the line ready to talk with me. once when i wasnt home an actual person called and stated which credit card company they were from and that i needed to get a hold of them. i check my account, it said i hadnt paid them in 6 months and i now owed them $174 in late fees!!! i called them and told them that i made the payment and i had the payment conformation number. they called me a liar that the confromation number i had wasnt real. i was basically SOL because they didnt take the money out from my bank, i just thought it was my lucky day and mis calculated and had an extra $30. what i personally believe what happened was they lost my payment when they changed over banks because when i had to go check my account i had to set up a whole new one because of the bank change. save yourself the trouble and dont get this card. |

| "HATE this card" |
| This has to be the worst card I've ever had. I paid off my balance (or so I thought) more than 6 months ago, but somehow they left a charge of $10 on the card. I'd paid the balance over the phone, while talking to a representative, so I paid the balance they told me I owed...where'd the $10 come from? Then they waited 6 months to call me, every day, 4-5 times a day, but never leaving a message so I don't know what it's for. I finally get in touch with someone today and they tell me that I owe them $80 for having an unpaid balance for 6 months. I shouldn't have owed anything. Worse, it's now on my credit report! Hate this card, awful customer service! |

| "BEWARE DO NOT GET THIS CARD!!" |
| They company got sold and the new bank doesn't have any of the information. Its insane. I only used this card once and paid it off the next month. All of a sudden I am getting 10 calls a day saying I owe them $50 but they dont know what for. Its the worse customer service experience I have ever had. They keep telling me they can't help me and I just need to pay them $50. |

| "WFNNB buys cards" |
| I had a card for a long time, but let it lapse and they closed my account. I recently reopened it and came across all these comments when trying to figure out how to pay my bill online since that is how I pay all my bills. It made me nervous seeing all these comments. I noticed also the LB manager apologizing and that Spirit of America had bought out the credit cards, but my first statement since I reopened my account clearly states that my account has been bought by WFNNB by Spirit of America, so guess they are back to the back service again. |

| "Online Payments" |
I scheduled my online payment the day it was due, because that was an option, I just got my bill and
I charged a late fee even though it shows the transaction date as 12-11-09 the due date! I'm reporting them to the BBB and I hope someone does a class action lawsuit!! If you have to schedule payment 2-3 days before it's due then they shouldn't give you the option of paying it on the due date! All my other cards that give an option of due date don't charge a late fee!! |

| "Canceled card and will never shop LB again" |
| I have several credit cards and when I schedule the payment online I have never had any problems. If the due date is October 5 I get online October 1 and schedule the payment for 10/5. The past 2 months I have gotten late payment charges because I should have scheduled the payment 3 business days before the due date?They expect you to go in October 1 and schedule the payment for Oct. 2 so it will come out of your bank on the 5th. This is the craziest thing I have ever seen. NOT ONE SINGLE OTHER CARD DOES THIS that I have. So I canceled the card and will no longer be shopping there. |

| "Poor customer treatment--period." |
| I was late on a payment of $33. They will call you the very day after the bill's due date, 3x a day--at 9am, noon, and around 4pm, and they do not leave messages if you don't answer. It wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that their calls were auto-dialed by a computer-automated dialer that would not connect the first day's worth of calls. Since their caller ID only shows up as "Ohio" on my phone, I had to Google the number to find out who was calling and hanging up on me. That was how I found out that I was one day late on paying my $33 balance--through my own cyber sleuthing. So, I paid it immediately online, but the calls continued. Again, they wouldn't connect the first day, but they finally connected me through on the second business day to the rudest customer service representative. They noted that I made a payment online, and then proceeded to ask me the amount that I paid...despite the fact that they had this information in front of them, because when I answered "I paid in full", the rep responded by confirming the dollar amount and proceeded to demand my address for verification. When I asked why we were going through all of this when I had already paid off my balance, the rep informed me that it takes 3 business days to post the amount, and that they would continue to call until the amount posted. I was, of course, irritated, because she had all of the information in front of her regarding my payment. They have poor communication between their departments, but the real problem is that they have no qualms pissing off their customers in the process. A review below claims that the reviewer's card was suspended over a balance of $2.98, and after my own experiences with their hostile, aggressive collection methods, I don't doubt the validity of that claim. I've since canceled my card--I'm not interested in being treated like I need to be hunted down like a petty crook. |
