| "MBNA Steelers Visa" |
I obtained this card after filling out the application in order to get a free Steelers T-shirt! Because I only use one credit card, this one has stayed with me for over 6 years.
In that time, I have lost my card, had billing issues, needed to refute a charge, etc. and never had a bad experience with Customer Service. The negatives to this card are 1) a lack of any perks (no earning gas $$, airline mileage, etc). And 2) the longer you hold the card, the credit limit begins to skyrocket. (This may seem like a good thing, but if a bank runs your credit report and sees that you have the ability to charge up an additional $25,000 through this card, you are seen as a higher risk. (Whether you actually HAVE or not does not affect your credit rating, it's that you CAN.) |
