"Travel Value travel agents willing to work with you..."

I've had the card for many years, bought many airlines tickets with the reward miles, etc. One thing I really value it flexibility. Last year, I was unemployed and needed a ticket for a job interview. My miles were short by about 5000 points. After begging and pleading and calling twice, I finally got someone that 'fronted' me the points in advance. I got the ticket, the job, and had the points 'paid off' in a few months. You don't get that kind of service from everybody. With that said, I use USAA for everything else. They have the BEST customer service.

"Just changed cards from a Classic to a nRewards Card"

I didn't see an option for a rewards card, but since I had a classic... here is my recommendation. Get a Navy Federal credit card if you can! I have been with Navy Federal for almost 8 years. I have had the classic card for almost the entire time. NFCU has been great. I just switched to the nRewards card. It's a great deal; I can get gifts or cash back.

"Credit Card Intrest Rates Not Competitive"

It's a good card considering it is accepted most places. However, over the years I do not believe that it maintains it's competitiveness with other intrest rates. I have had this card the longest of all credit cards but it's intrest is also the highest. None of my other cards are over 6% intrest.

Most attractive feature: It easy for new memebrs to obtain one when they are trying to establish a credit history

Least attractive feature: Intrest rates no longer competitive. Had this card longer but it has the highest rate

"VISA Travel Value Card"

I have been a member of NFCU since 1983. I have financed 5 automobiles and 2 homes with NFCU. When I left the Navy, I tried other banks, but returned to do all of my banking, financing, mortgaging, and credit cards with NFCU. I got a Travel Value card when it first became available. The card was free for the first 2 years, then $50/year. In the past 5 years, I have earned a free ticket to Rome, 2 tickets to Vancouver, and 2 tickets to Germany. If you shop for good airfare, you can really get the most from the program. When travelling to Canada in 2001, the Travel Value agent accepted a coupon that we had for reduced airfare. The tickets would have cost us $1500 (for both), but ended up costing us nothing because of our points and the discount. We use the card for all of our daily expenses, and it pays off nicely at vacation time.
Some reviews state that NFCU is no good because they don't take risks on those with poor credit - the credit union is providing a benefit for its members, it is not a charity. The AAA doesn't pride itself on finding cheap auto insurance for bad drivers...

Most attractive feature: Travel awards - free airfare on a regular basis.

Least attractive feature: Lack of local branches. Must do banking by mail.

"Great Credit Card"

The best credit dard I have low fees, low rates (maybe not the lowest out there but still good), excellent service and very fare to there customers.

Most attractive feature: If you pay double the minimum payement yout get an extra months grace period.

Least attractive feature: None, great service.

"Review of NFCU Travel Value VISA card"

I am very happy with the NFCU Travel Value VISA card because of the online ability to review your account anytime and to transfer funds from my NFCU accounts to pay VISA bill. The Travel Value card earns points for air travel tickets that is also a nice feature.

Most attractive feature: Online transfer payment of Visa bill from NFCU checking or savings accounts

Least attractive feature: None noted

"NFCU -- Good"

Have been a cardholder for 4 years now, am currently upgrading
to VISA Gold. Excellent customer service by phone and by mail,
though with recent events it's hard for non-military members to
access physical bank locations.

Most attractive feature: Customer service is always excellent.

Least attractive feature: Heightened security measures make getting to branches impossible.

"This bank is no good!!!"

I always get turned down for their cards. Ive been with this bank for 7 long years. The only thing they have is a secured card which requires a $500 deposit, something I refused to get. This bank refuses to help people with past credit problems.

Least attractive feature: Navy Federal refuses to help people with credit problems
