| "hold time 2 hours " |
| I have also seen customer service hold times increase making it almost impossible to speak to someone. It's a pretty good card if you want to check everything online, along with your savings and checking but hopefully you never have a question or need to report a lost or stolen card. Your are given the option of a callback but that could also take hours and you might not be available then or your cell might not work inside in some building. I had liked using this card because of we had been with NFCU since 1999 and always had a good experience but I feel that have cut back in their call center customer service. There are a lot of other companies out there there offer premium customer service and promotional interest rates too, rewards, etc for Navy Fed to get complacent. |

| "NFCU hold times are up to 5 hours." |
| NFCU is an excellent card for people who can spend an entire day waiting to speak to customer service. I have been a Navy federal Credit Union Member since 1968 and am very disapointed at the deterioration in the service levels of this once fine institution. Being the Former CFO of an Insurance companny I can Understand trying to reduce costs but this organization has cut way to far. The sevice levels have been detriorating for a couple of years now and just seem to be getting worse. If you have alot of time on your hands this is the card for you. As for me I am closing my accounts and will begin using a citibank card that provides cash rebate for purahases as well as reasonable levels of customer service. |

| "NFCU is excellent" |
| I've been an NFCU member since 1982 when I was 2 years old. I worked my way up from a Visa Sharechek, to a Visa Classic, to a Visa Gold, and now a Visa Platinum. Customer service with NFCU is excellent as always, the NFCU online services are excellent especially for me since I live near a small base in Japan far away from any Navy Federal branch. I haven't used all the new benefits that the Platinum offers yet, but so far everything's been great - on top of that, there is no fee. 9.9% APR, NO cash advance fees (good for me since I always use cash advances to withdraw large amounts of Yen), 100% security - you're covered if your car has unauthorized access. I'm not tempted to switch to another bank unless someone convinces me there's a better deal out there. |
