| "STOP COMPLAINING" |
| All the bad reviews are from people who sound like their credit is getting bad or is bad...PAY YOUR BILLS, and Amex is good to you. People saying their credit line was cut...bc your credit got bad same for rising apr's, read the fine print they do random credit checks and it adjusts to how good or bad your credit is. |

| "American express is the best credit card company" |
| i have had american express cards since i turned 18, I have two platinum cards one of which is the optima credit card and i also have their In:LA card which is also very helpful when it comes to saving a little money. The customer service is great i get the best membership rewards they offer and it just works for me! |

| "Not a bad card...wish it was as accepted as Visa" |
New customer with about a $42,000 line.
Already been to one place that did not accept AMEX. If it had the same benefits of VISA Signature/World Elite MasterCard ... and was accepted in as many places, then this card would be perfect. |

| "Ask and you will be treated badly" |
I had a high line of credit and requested a little more so I could consolidate all my credit cards to Optima. They said no. OK thats fair.
Whats not fair is they then cut my credit line in half. This was not good for my consolidation.
I had 600 dollars remaining on my new line of low credit so I try to move $550 and they refused to do that.
I have never in my life, this is all credit cards, missed a payment, ever been late on a payment and Always paid more then required.
This is your reward from Optima for 11 years of carrying their card. Once paid off this card is gone. Try Chase, they worked with me. |

| "This is a great company!" |
| I got the Optima card when I was 18. It came with what I thought to be high limit at the time-$2000. I have paid it on time every month and received several credit line increases. I am now up to 15,000 and although I know I will never charge that much, its nice to know its there. AMEX also upgraded me to platinum about 4 years ago and I love that. I now get a credit card offer in the mail about every day but I will never switch from my AMEX.I do have a VISA I keep because as we all know, AMEX is not yet accepted everywhere, but once it is, I will have no need of another card at all. Customer service is always friendly and helpful and they will increase your limit over time. This is a great card for anyone with good credit who can qualify for it. |

| "GREAT CARD" |
I'VE BEEN USING THIS CARD FOR TWO YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY CARD WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS ONE COMES WITH. ABSOLUTLY FLAWLESS.
JUST WISH IT CAME WITH MEMBERSHIP REWARDS.

| "Bait and Switch" |
| I was offered a 4.9% interest rate on balance transfers as a teaser and then those corporate crooks changed it to 23.99% without notifying me or justifying their action. After an hour on hold with customer service, listening to stupid elevator music, I had to threaten to cancel my Platinum card to get them to put the interest rate back. They are bunch of thieves and should be ashamed of themselves. |

| "Overall Impression" |
| This card has worked extremely well in a corporate environment and AMEX service has been without peer. Each and every issue was handled with professionalism and discretion, even when it was on our fault. I highly recommend this program for anyone in a small business environment. |

| "The Most AWESOME Credit Card" |
The Optima Platinum Card by American Express is truly the most awesome 'Revolving' account around. I have a Blue from AMEX account as well, and this card blows Blue away. After just 6 months of Cardmembership, AMEX granted me a 0.00% APR for all balances until February of 2003, plus they offered me a variable 8.24% on purchases / 5.24% on Balance Transfers.
Other than the occasional representative from a foreign country, which cannot speak english... the representatives are very helpful and attentive.
All these benefits, with a nominal credit line and exceptional APR's, makes this card A+!
Keep it up AMEX, Optima Platinum is the best! |

| This is a safe card to use. A lot of benefits, although the grace period should be 30 days. This card shows its out to protect the people interests. |
