| "26 year member in good standing and they suffocated me" |
After 26 years of owning a PFCU credit card, savings and checking accounts ours was closed on us.
We had some hard times with layoffs, bills piling up, robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Having excellent credit for years doesn't help when it comes to their number crunching.
Now that all our credit lines are paid off, we have "no credit" with the exception of our mortgage. The CC was paid off, a truck loan was paid off, equity loan was paid off (all these totalling well over $50K and now we can't get credit to save our backsides.
26 years with these folks down the drain because of job loss. It's sickening.
There just needs to be an overhaul of the financial systems in total!! |

| "Failure to allow holder of closed credit card to re-establish credit." |
I have been a member of Pentagon CU for many years. Several years ago, I was distracted by cancer surgery and alowed many of my accounts to become delinquent. I tried to re-establish myself with this CU. With each application, I sent an e-mail outlining debts I had paid off, and suggested theylook at the many successful accounts that were on the record. Each application was turned down.
The last turn down had this paragraph: "past delinquencies, current delinquencies, garnishments, attachment, foreclosure, repossession or suit". All of these allegations are not true (except past delinquincies).
While I have past delinquincies, I have NO current delinquencies, nor have I EVER had "garnishments, attachment, foreclosure, repossession or suit". Please notice how they stated "repossession or suit". The use of the word "or" indicates they must have used a form letter of rejection reserved for the worst of applicants.
On one application, I offerred to send them direct deposit of my social security funds, but they refused to acceopt the deposit.
In the past year, I have received 5 new credit cards totalling $5000 ranging from $300 to $3000 credit limits, and store credits with a total of $7400. All have been handled in a responsible manner. Some banks who had previously canceled my accounts have re-opened them.
So my recommendation is to stay away from Pentagon Credit Union if you expect to have a friend in hard times. |

| "Never a problem" |
| I've had my PFCU Visa since 1993 and have never had a problem w/ their service. They send a detailed annual expense report which helps greatly w/ your monthly and annual budgets. On top of this, PFCU always has the lowest loan rates of just about any bank...car loans, etc. |

Bankruptcy
In March of 1996, I had to declare bankruptcy. One of the debts discharged was a Pentagon Federal Credit Union Visa. However, Pentagon Federal Credit Union continues to report this as a delinquent debt, keeping me from being able to rebuild my credit. I strongly advise against ever using this company for ANYTHING.

| "The Pentagon RULES!" |
| I have never had a problem with this card - when I had NO credit history, this Credit Union gave me a credit card. When I asked for a loan due to insufficient credit, they raised my credit limit & saved me 2%. |

| "bad visa" |
| This credit card will not offer a competitive interest rate. I called this company before I transfered my balnce and asked if they planned to offer a more Competitive interest rate or if they would because I have a good credit rating and I was told they do could not do anything for my account. I told them that I would be transferrring my balance to another card and I was then told Have a nice day. I would not recommend this card for anyone who does not intend to pay the balance every month. I had paid over the amount that owed for the month on this card and my next billing cycle showed I had a balance but there was no payment due for the month and I called to asked for an explanation and never received one. |
