| "Just wrote this letter to PC Mastercard" |
Hello
Called and wrote Monday because my PC card has been compromised. Told to get rid of my card and make payment when newcard came. Wanted to know why my card was compromised - no answer. Accounts receivable called Wednesday saying my paymeny of $12 was overdue but not to use my old card number. No explanation as to what was compromised. Accounts receivable called today again and warned me that I would be charges $20 if I missed my payment! Told you again I wanted my answer as to why my card was compromised. Couldn't tell me. I told you that i was told not to make a payment on the old card when I received a second call today. The caller made me sound like I was lieing. Of course i can make a pyment on the old card - the new one is not here yet. I will not make a payment. Then I called customer service and asked why my card was compromised and I was brushed off AGAIN with the answer that maybe someone has my epersonal information and of course I can still make a payment. Sounds like there has been a leak on my file and possibly others and I am now going to blog this alert and also contacting the appropraite agency to ensure that files were not compromised and you have not failed to report the information properly. Hopefully I am the only one. What a bloody terrible mess you have created. |

| "I'd rather stick my hand in a meatgrinder...." |
.... than have to deal with PC Financial again.
Today I tried to correct THEIR mistake of billing a card I had (immediately)reported lost a month ago. No joy from their supposed customer service.
I had major trouble with them in 2001 and cancelled my card. I was foolishly lulled into thinking they must have improved over the last decade.
I spent 30 minutes on the phone today trying to clear up this mess. But that is not as bad as the 2.5 hours I spent last week over the same issue.
I finally got SO frustrated I asked to speak to a supervisor. (I was almost yelling, and I don't yell.)
ME: "PUT a SUPERVISOR on the phone."
PC: "What is reason for you requesting a supervisor?" (obviously reading a script).
ME: "Haven't you listened to ANYTHING I have SAID in the past half hour?!!??"
PC: "I need a specific reason."
ME: "sputter...gasp.. because you guys are... sputter... God help me...."
I am cancelling TODAY and I am telling everyone I know not to use PC Financial.
Seriously, what kind of credit card company does not allow it's customers to set up an auto-pay account? One that doesn't care at all about its clients.
Good-bye PC
ME

| "treated like I shoplifted!" |
| I've been studying in Australia for the last year, so I use this card pretty much only when I go home and/or for emerencies. They gave me a $5000 credit limit right off the bat when I was 18 (24 now), and I've never used the card much and always paid if off quickly. When I visit home last I put the whole trip on the card, so about $2500. I then paid off the card at about $500 a month until it was cleared. Well silly me but I didn't realise the NEXT month they're would be a lingering interest fee, and being back in Australia I wasn't checking my paid-off card often. I logged in today to see an overdue amount of $7 (OOPS; transfered 10 bucks fast and thought it can't be that bad)...WRONG! They took my credit limit down to $1000 and now my credit score is dinged as its considered a non payment. For $7. I'm SO pissed I didn't get an emailed statement or ANYTHING that would of flagged this to me, I would of paid the $7 in a heartbeat. But I'm more upset about them changing my limit over it! I've had the card for 6 years without ever having any issues. When I rang (from Australia, never mind the long distance charge), the guy on the other end just seemed to be scolding me like a little child, "well it shows here you defaulted on payment" and did nothing to apologise to me or put my credit limit back to where it's been the last 6 years BECAUSE OF $7. So I cancelled my card. I've never felt so belittled in my life! Now I have to call in a month to make sure I don't need to transfer 90 cents or something or else another ding on my credit score, which was perfect before PC. thanks for nothing....go to Scotia guys. |

| "Here is a copy of a letter I sent them ..." |
I have been a loyal PC and PC MasterCard customer for many years. The service has been fantastic ... until now!
My card was frozen 3 times in the month of August. 2 times for charges that were done in my hometown but showed Montreal, and 1 time due to a fraudulent charge going through.
On only 1 occasion (the first one) was I contacted by your representatives to let me know my account was frozen. The next 2 times I was NEVER notified and had to find out while trying to use my card, being embarrassed and left to search for another form of payment at the point of sale. On one occasion I was on my way to the USA and had a hotel reserved on my one, AND ONLY, credit card in my wallet!
Since that time I have been without a credit card, 7 days (which I was told I would have one by now), which puts me into a difficult situation should an emergency arise.
I contacted your representatives today to check on the status of my card and was disappointed to be met with insincere appologies and a "wait and see" attitude. As you have been, notice I said have been, my only credit card provider I would expect to be treated with much more importance. I would also expect that such a matter would be dealt with much quicker and was disappointed to find out it would be this long, let alone past the deadline.
I will be applying for other cards by other financial institutions, and may shop around my savings, chequeing, and alternate lending accounts as well while I am at it.
Although I pay "No Fees" for my banking, I would expect the interest you make off my borrowing, not to mention your investing of my savings, would warrant a much better service.
Yours EXTREMELY Disappointed,
BM |

| "Worst company ever!!" |
I had a card.. my interest rates were 19.97%
I tried to close the account after paying the balance.. the person on the phone said i owed 4cents.
So i paid the petty 4 cents i owed them and told them to shut my account.
3 months later, they told me i owed 32 cents and now my credit rating is affected because i didnt pay for 3 months.
WORST COMPANY. DON'T SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING WITH PC FINANCIAL!!! |

| "Zero Liability commitment - good luck with that! " |
| It took 18 months for them to resolve the problem I had with unauthorized cash advances on my PC Mastercard that occurred while I was travelling in South Africa. It was only after I sought legal counsel who advised me to stop making the minimum payments that I finally got their attention. I made numerous calls, spoke to a "caring" customer service representive who would promise to call me back in 48 hours. What a joke! Guess what - no one ever got back to me! |

| "your PC Master card has been declined" |
I rode just north of Toronto for a day trip on my motorcycle on June 2011. These were my purchases: $7.40 in Huntsville and 21.14 in Gormley Ontario. Both were gas purchases. The next day I went to buy groceries. Lo and behold it got rejected. I called customer service. They told me because I used it outside of Toronto it was put on hold. I have been a customer of PC for over a decade. Whether it's their banking/Master card their service is getting worse by the day. It's clearly not fraud when the amount is so low. If someone is going to steal the info on a card they would make the most out of it. there are better ways of stopping fraud on a CC than putting it on hold.I also don't understand why they can't send the client a quick email that their card has been held. Banks and CC companies need to use the available technology in a better way but to me it looks like they don't have the slightest idea how.

| "Customer Satisfaction Isn't Purchased... It Is Earned!" |
PC MasterCard is actually a division of CIBC and it is clear that professionalism and customer service aren't top priorities. My card would often not work, while credit was clearly available and the card was current, none of which could be explained. Even the security department could not explain why the card was being denied.
Credit limit was lowered, with no real explanation while other cards were being increased. Offered to look into it, but only if I would grant them access to my credit card file again, thereby lowering my credit score. When approached to look into the problem, they offered me gift cards in hopes that I would shut up about their pitiful service rather than spend the money fixing their horrible customer service. Finally closed the card and they accepted charges on a closed account. So can't use it when you are up to date and current, but you can when the account is closed and shouldn't allow charges! How pitiful is that? |
