"No longer available"
The Purdue Alumni Card is no longer with MBNA, it is with Purdue Federal Credit Union and has better rates and terms the the MBNA/Bank of America card.

"How they trick you"
Wow, this sounded like a great card, the transfer balance apr was 0% for 9 months, and the purchases rate was 9.99%, plus you can support your school alumni association. However, their is one catch, if you put a big balance transfer on the card and then use it for purchases, MBNA applies all payments to the balance transfer portion first, then when it is paid off it will apply payments towards the purchase balance. So, even though you get 0% on the transfer you will never be able to escape the purchase APR until the card is completely paid off. I only charged $200 in purchases, but I would have to pay 9.99% on it until the big transfer balance was paid off. So, moral of the story..If you get this card DO NOT use it for purchases until the balance transfer is paid off. I got a new card, paid this one off and canceled it just for being deceived.

Most attractive feature: 0% Intro APR on Transfers
Least attractive feature: Hidden method of applying payments to balance transfers first
