"What is the annual/monthly interest on unpaid amount?"
What is the interest rate on creditcard outstandings. Is it 18% per annum or 18% per month? No one in RBC seems to know of this. Can anyone please explain.

"Visa Review"
I was tired of high interest rates, and was looking for a card with a better rate. When I went into the bank to let them know that I would most likely be cancelling my card, they immediately whisked me into an office to discuss any problems I felt I was having. Since my only concern was the rate, they immediately lowered my rate from 18.5% to 10.5%. I wish I had known that I could have done this years ago. It is a better rate for long term customers, not someone with a lot of cash, just so you know. I rarely pay my balance in full, and don't have a large income, so don't think this is the reason I got the better rate. It is simply because I've been with them for so long.

Most attractive feature: I got low interest simply by asking for a better rate
Least attractive feature: I had to ask for the lower rate, I wasn't offered it

"Providing information to other companies, Updating payments"
I have the Royal Bank of Canada Visa Classic card. So far I am hardly pleased with their service. As I have applied for other cards, such as a Sears card or Bay card, they use my Visa to check my credit rating. For unknown reasons to me, Visa has reported me with BAD credit. Though when I go to see my bank manager, he has popped up my account to find that my credit is in EXCELLENT standing, one of the best things I have listed. I have held the card for three years and always made my payment in time, thus providing me with these "positive ticks" for each and every month. I also happened to come into a bit of money lately, so I paid my card off in full. I maxed it out again while shopping for furniture and went home to pay it off in full immediately, again. Then I went to purchase my home... when the bank chosen to cover my mortgage contacted Visa, they reported that my full balance was still owing from many months before. They failed to report that my payments in those days were ALWAYS paid on time, and ALWAYS more than the minimum monthly payment. They failed to report that my balance had ever been paid in full, let alone twice. To top things off, when I call customer service, they DO have the information that my account is paid but have no explanation whatsoever as to why they are reporting false information about me to other credit institutions. All they say is it should be straightened out shortly and to this day it never has been. I owe nothing to Visa and haven't for more than 6 months, but for unknown reasons again, they report that I am even over my limit!!!! I would not recommend this card to anyone on the planet. If all of that wasn't enough, please consider this... I purchased my home with 50% down, it's a beautiful, sizable home and my bank account also reflects this comfortable position. When I call Visa to request a credit limit increase I am immediately denied for the same unknown reasons provided to other companies that subsequently deny me. I am considering taking them to court. If this were the USA I would be able to sue them for slander and liable. My advice? Good luck in your search for another card!!!!!!!

"Royal Bank needs to review their services"
Over the last few years, Royal Bank has been adding on additional fees for services that I rarely use or not at all. Their interest rates are getting too high. I feel that the bank is using every excuse in the book to charge as many fees as possible to gain profit. I had originally chose Royal Bank for their reliable services and support. Today, I am getting the feeling that I chose the wrong bank.

Most attractive feature: Accepted at many locations
