"Saks Lowered My Credit Limit"
Saks lowered my credit by $100. I was told that they ran a soft inquiry and decided that they needed to decrease me limit according to my credit history. I just paid them off in May, but ran it up again and had been paying the minimum. I''d just ordered some Louboutins and worried why the money hadn''t been debited. Didn''t have enough to cover it because they lowered my available balance without having told me. I have no adverse credit history, but I am just paying the minimum on all my cards. Either it''s the market *or* I need to go back to cash and carry only.

Most attractive feature: I will always keep my Saks card because it''s my favorite store.
Least attractive feature: Shouldve told me before running my credit and after decision was made.

"Luisa and Lorraine go Shopping!"
Hi my name is Luisa and i amwriting this review on the Saks Card. As the first review states Household Bank is very money Hungry. In 1998 my daughter (Lorraine) and I decided to open a joint account with Saks Fith Avenue Credit. They issued me and her a limit of $15,000.00 each. Which totals $30,000.00 credit. After using our cards and maxing them out we started making payments on them. no matter how much we would make, our balance would not even lower. Even if we paid 5 minimum payments. We just kept on paying. In 2002 last year I was in a car accident. My estate lawyer said he would manage my bills. in some foolish mix-up, my Saks Credit was late by 5 hours...yes thats right only 5 hours.....Saks immediately lowered the Credit limit to $3,000.00 bringing us to a limit of $6,000.00 on a balnce of $12,500.00!!! Pushing us way over the limit we were forced to pay numerous late fees and a higher even higher interest!!! WHY? 1 late payment!! 1!! We decide to pay our account off and cut our cards. The account is still open but we do not dare to even touch it! We now pay with our beautiful American Expresses Blue* With a $100,000.00 at a 6.9% rate. I got a letter in the mail today saying that Saks is upping my limit to $65,000.00 and dropping my interest to 19.80% o boy !! what a drop hahahahahaha!!! The H*** with Household I am sitting pretty with my American Express!! Saks is good but there card is very unfair!!

"STAY AWAY!!!"
When I was 20 I had been building up my credit very well. When I decided to apply for a SaksFirst Platinum, I tought it was great nice clothes and member excluisive sales. When I applied they immediately issued me a card with a $5,000.00 limit at 15.9% interest. I decided to take it. 6 months later I was in a Critical car accident. I was unable to make even minimum payments on my Saks. So I decided to put them on my visa which was paid for automatically from my checking account. One month later I had no money to give Household bank, I tried work out a deal where I could send $40.00 every other month but they said to "get a job and pay them there money I owed and cut my credit card up". Well I told them to go to h*** and I was'nt going to pay them 1 cent. 2 months later I recieve a letter in the mail staing that I owed household bank $8,530.00 (when I had only charged $850.00 of the credit). When my mom offered to pay them off I gave them a call and asked for a settlement offer. They told me $5,000.00, My mom said just to pay it and get it off your back. We paid it off in two weeks. Well its been 8 months now and they still insist on collecting $2.30 I owe them. which is very stupid. This card may look attractive, but the truth is Household is money hungry!
