2 instances of booking travel:
1st instance was good and efficient
2nd instance the service was extremely poor: for example, i did not receive confirm email (only after 3rd request). Then car rental was booked in the wrong city. The first 2 service reps, must have been having bad days as they were not very helpful and did not have a good understanding of customer service. |

| Lost card enroute in USA. Scotiabank replaced via courier in less than 12hrs!! Impressive and appreciated. |

| "awards for flights not that great" |
| For every dollar spent, you get a point, but when you redeem, it's only worth 10% of the points (15000 pts = $150), whereas on other cards, 15000 pts is worth a short haul flight of up to a maximum of $300 or $400. |

| I would recommend this card without hesitation.The rewards program is the most flexible of all the cards I've ever had. Points are earned for every dollar of purchases and can be redeemed for travel,merchandise,credit on bank products such as mortgage or for term deposits. |

| "Best all-around card!!" |
| The major benefit of this card is that unlike other gold rewards cards, redemption of reward points is not subjected to black-outs, seat limits etc. Book any flight or hotel anywhere through their own travel service and redeem 10000 points for a $100 discount. Redemption will also cover taxes as well, unlike some other card reward programs. Plus! you get 5% cashback on all flights charged to the card. WOW!! We charge ~ $50,000 per year on the card giving us $500 in travel savings. If you factor the low annual fee and free supplementary cards this is one card that should not be overlooked!! |
