"Good way to pay for carpet"
I have read the other reviews and I have had a good experience with Shaw. I just paid off my account before the 12 months was up. I have tiled another room so I am starting payments again. This time, I only have 90 days since I did not charge enough to qualify for the 12 months. Like any credit card with this kind of offer, you really need to pay if off before the time is up or you get slammed with interest. I do wish they would add a payment on-line and quit charging to pay by phone (the price is way to much).

"Erroneous charges"
I have had nothing but problems with this credit card right from the beginning. I too was on a one year same as cash deal and right from the start I was being charged late fees and told I owed payments. I was on a monthly basis, on the phone with a customer representative straightening out the erroneous charges. Also, they sent an erroneous late payment report to the credit bureau which posted and I therefore had to dispute. Please be wary of this company. I won't be using them again!

"Poor customer relations"
I was called a week after the first payment was due for non-payment. However, the start date that they mentioned for my account was one month before my carpet was installed; therefore, they started calling me for payment a week after it was installed. Even so, this account was supposed to be no interest and no payment for one year and I was still getting non-payment calls.

"Stay away from this company"
During a recent move across country, I needed new carpet installed in the house we were selling. My local carpet company offered credit, and it seemed to make sense at the time to use the "float" to fund the carpet. After paying off the balance, I received in the mail three checks to use with a rate of 7.99% for the life of the balance. I hadn't had any problems with the company up to then, so I paid off a higher credit card and transferred the balance over. Last month, I didn't get a statement (not sure why - though I remember thinking it was strange). When I got this month's statement, it showed the past due balance along with this month's - no sweat, I thought, I'd just catch up. This was before I knew how Monogram worked, and now I wish I had done more research before taking the bait of a low interest rate. I have now received 3 harrassing calls from customer service reps, with threats to both myself and my husband of being reported to credit card companies. When I tell them I will catch up with my next payment they get verbally abusive. My credit rating is about 750, and the worst that can happen is they report me one month late, so that threat is ineffective. I know I'm worth more to this company paying interest every month, rather than closing out the account, but apparently they don't know that. They would rather pay telemarketers to harass good credit risks and force away customers. After the abuse I've received, I'm going to pay the card off, and walk with my money elsewhere. I hope that will be the end of this, and not the beginning. But the reviews from others, make me concerned that this is only the beginning.
