| "Road Star Program" |
| Do not fall for this. I was called at dinner in Jan 2003 and accepted (sounded good). I never received membership, and customer service was not interested in finding out why. When time came I needed the servic, I couldn't (wasn't in computer). Once in system I mailed my claim for reimbursement, I have been waiting for 2 months for my check, and am now being told they never got my claim. |

| "corresponding APR and limit increases" |
| I love my Texaco card. There are only a few things that I would like to see different with my card. Instead of increasing limits to encourage spending, decrease APR. The benefits would be a lot more for the consumer and would make one more apt to use the card without regretting putting the purchase on credit. The other thing is receiving offers over the phone for our card. Adding the offer on ones bill is suffient. When receiving calls at dinner time makes it hard to be interested in the offer at hand. The additional services I would like to see on a gas card it the ability to use it as a vehicle maintence card such as oil changes, tune ups, brakes, or tire rotations. The things we should do on a quarterly basis to help keep our vehicle in top condition. |

| "Misleading Card." |
| I did not like the card as they promised a $20 gas coupon which was actually 4 $5 coupons. They also did not mention the service charge or annual fee and customer service gave me a run around when I tried to cancel the card. It finally took them to call since I did not pay fee to actually get card canceled. |

| "Roadstar service" |
| Watch out for this bogus road service. Got a call from Texaco telling me that if I try the Roadstar service for a month I would recieve a $20.00 free gas voucher. Never recieved the voucher. Never recieved a membership number. Never recieved anything!, but on my monthly Texaco statement they charged my $5.00 a month for a road service I couldn't use because I had nothing from but a monthly charge for something I never had. When I called The roadstar phone # they were dumb! played really stupid. When they looked me up in the computer the dumbells told me I lived in Maine. I don't live in Maine I live in Ma. I asked for a total refund since I never received anything from them. They told me they doubt that I would get one. They dodge you like made. Beware of this total rip off!! |

| "Dissatisfied customer" |
| THIS IS THE WORST CREDIT CARD I'VE EVER HAD! THERE IS A $7.95 CHARGE ON MY CARD EVERY MONTH, YET I HAVE NOT USED THE CARD IN A YEAR! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST TOO, PLUS THE SERVICE CENTER CLOSES AT LIKE 5PM, SO HOW IS ANY PERSON WHO HAS A 9-5 JOB, SUPPOSED TO CALL ABOUT THEIR CARD! |

| I like this card. Its easy and convient for me to use when I dont have cash on me. The only downside is the $25 cash advance. what am I going to do with that? |

| "A good, easy, convenient card" |
| The Texaco card is good because there are Texaco and Shell stations everywhere, and yes, you can use it at Shell. I've never been late and in the year I've had the card my credit line has doubled without me asking. I usually pay off every month so if you can do that, do it too. I recommend the card, like I said, AS LONG AS YOU DO READ FINE PRINT AND KNOW WHAT CREDIT CARDS ARE ALL ABOUT, because many people on here seem to have a problem with late payment fees when they should have known that is a basic. Also, be sure to visit http://www.thevalidnetwork.com cause you can pay on demand, free from your checking account, and it always works perfectly. I've never had a mistake with them either. |

| "Online payment service and rude customer service" |
Online payment service is the worst, does not pay the bill when date stated by website, then Texaco sends you to the credit bureaus as late, customer
service is very rude when questioning them about their online payment and policies.. |

| "Why is the Texaco gas card not rated on this site?" |
Four tanks a month is the requirement to keep the benefits going. No problem there. I happen to like my
Texaco card, and it has given me no problems with
billing, or anything. I find that customer service is
always there, and treat me like I am somebody to them.
I purchase about half Texaco and half Shell on my card.
I find it
about as good as any available. I just wish this card
offered a per gallon discount like the Shell card does.
And I don't think the benefits available rate the annual
charge for it. But, I would recommend this card for the
user that wishes an overall good gasoline credit card. |
