"I Had a Umbrella Bank Visa"
The good part of this card was they never bothered me and i never recieved junk mail. I applied for this card when i turned 21, had exellent credit and had the card for 2 years. I maxed out my 8K limit on a few occasions only to pay it all back within 3-4 months. The only time I ever was late making a payment was when i moved and my bill got held up. Months later i called to have my credit line increased. They denied it and so I told them i was no longer interested in their services. They swiftly cancelled my card and wrote me telling me THEY canceled me because i was to big of a risk for being late on ONE payment in 2 yrs! I called customer service and was given the run around by 5 operators and fianlly gave up. Don't waste your time even applying.
 
Most attractive feature: They dont bug you
Least attractive feature: Rewards program that they dont even know about

"great secured card"
for those who need a credit card and can afford $500 for deposit do it. They report to all 3 agency's and as a unsecured card.Customer service is a+.There is no rip off fees

Least attractive feature: the on line approval

"IN RESPONSE TO BELOW COMMENT"
IT WILL LOOK LIKE YOU ARE DENIED FOR A ONLINE APPLICATION WHEN YOU APPLY BUT PROBABLY NOT. THEY NEED TO SEND YOU LETTER TO BEGIN THE PROCESS AND CAN NOT DO IT ON-LINE THAT IS WHY YOU GET TURNED DOWN ON LINE. THEY COULD UPDATE THAT. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A+ AND IT IS WORTH IT NO HIDDEN FEES AND IS A GREAT WAY TO ESTABLISH CREDIT!!!!

"secured card??"
I HAVE HAD THE SAME JOB FOR OVER FOUR YEARS LIVED AT THE SAME ADDRESS OVER A YEAR AND HAVE THREE UNSECURED VISA&#'S OR MASTERCARDS WITH LITTLE DEBT AND WAS TURNED DOWN!!! why would anyone i repeat anyone apply for this and just get an additional inquiry on their credit report is this card that hard too get. is it a secured card for only people who do not need a secured card??? IS IT REALLY THAT BIG OF A RISK TOO DEPOSIT THE MINIMUM OF $500 FOR THIS ACCOUNT AND BE CHARGED $35 A YEAR FOR AN ANNUAL FEE FOR THEM TOO TURN DOWN?????? THANX UMBRELLA BANK FOR NOTHING AND THE INQURY ON THE REPORT AND THANK YOU FOR TURNING OTHER PEOPLE DOWN. HOW DO YOU STAY IN BUISNESS???

"Would love an explanation..."
I applied for this card and was turned down on the basis of past credit problems. If I didn't have any past credit problems, why would I be trying to get a secured card? I have a good job and have been there two years. Yet I can't get this secured credit card. This was a waste of time and another inquiry on my credit report.
 
Most attractive feature: Relatively low interest rate.
Least attractive feature: Hard to get.
