"losers"
I can't believe these posts. Read your contract and know what you are signing. If you have bad credit you are a risk and will pay more interest. Its not the BANKS FAULT.

For the guy who mentioned Obama helping...get a life, it people like you who have caused the housing market to crash. Dont but what you cant afford.....

Most attractive feature: Great customer service and many offers for varying credit scores.
Least attractive feature: need to take time to explain things to dummies...like the ones who have posted here.

"bought new atv"
went to atv dealer to buy kawasaki and they told me i could get better fianancing on a yamahaso i buy a yamaha and they told me h.s.b.c.would be the bank. h.s.b.c. called me to thank me for buying the bike through them and ask if i had questions. question i had was can i pay online with my visa card, their answer was yes and give me a web site and a phone number. day before my first note was due web site wouldnt work so i called number. and they told me they dont take credit cards at all. that i would have to send a money order through the mail. two days later a very rude lady calls me at work and saya if they dont get the note by the next evening they will come get the bike. they got the money but charged me $150.00 in fianace feesand late fees. after i signed the papers on the bike at the dealer a week later i find out that its not a bank loan its a credit card that i was not told about or i wouldnt have took it. but as for h.s.b.c. thier rude and hateful people to talk to on the phone.

"What they do should be illegal."
After receiving the application information from my dealer someone of their end decided I didn't live where I told them so they took it upon themselves to change my address. My first statement was mailed to a completely different address in a different state. I got that taken care of and paid the account off the next month when I received a statement. During that time they changed my address yet again and mailed my title to the wrong address so now they're sending me a letter stating the lien is clear so I can go get a duplicate title on my own time and nickel. I am not the least bit happy with these idiots and will NEVER do business with them again.

Most attractive feature: There are no good features. The business reeks of incompetence.
Least attractive feature: They take it upon themselves to update your account with invalid information.

"HSBC YAMAHA CARD"
I bought a new ATV at the end of April 2010 through HSBC. I was shocked that I got approved for a credit card with a $5k limit due to I couldnt get approved for a credit card until the end of Jan. Long story short, my Promo interest rate is 12.99% which is sky high until 2013. and after that is shoots up to 23% or something ridiculous. I am 20 years old just starting out but i am making at least $500 per month payments. needless to say the more you pay when you are able the better off you are in the long run. min payment on mine is $105 and yes if you make that payment every month you will be making payments for 20 some odd years. SO IF YOU CANT AFFORD SOMETHING DONT BUY IT. I also have no experience with their customer service. online payments and statements are great!

"Yamaha (HSBC)"
WOW. I'm in shock at how many of you people can't seem to understand, if you don't have the money or the credit...then don't take on payments that you can't make or with you're terrible credit that screws you over.

I on the other hand have a pretty decent job and great credit that I've work very for. SO if you make 2k a week like I do, and have an awesome credit score of 798, then I highly suggest getting anything from Yamaha through (HSBC).

But if you don't have the money for it, then don't. Because you'll just lose your shit and end up with even worse credit. Duh people it's common sense.

"yamaha retail services interest rates"
According to my last statement from yamaha retail services I am paying 22.99% interest. Retail services informed me on my statement that at that interest rate, paying the minimum payments, would take me 23 years to pay off my bike, and would ultimately cost me $14, 108 when I only financed about $6,500. Yamaha Retail Services is fully aware of thier outrages interest rates!! Come on Obama, it's time to nail these crooks too, don't you think!!

"Yamaha Credit Card: a nightmare I will not experience again"
I bought my V Star 1100 in September 2007. Nice bike. I didn't have the money to pay cash for it then I applied for the financial option, which was, of course, a credit card. The promotion paying low interests last two years. I supposed to paid off my bike by September 2010, but as the job market was slow (and stills slow) I didn't make it. Now I 'm paying an interest rate of 23.99%. The customer service is the worst I received in years, and if you are looking to speak with a representative, be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes in line until someone answer. Once I pay off the card, I will never use it again.

"SHADY COMPANY"
LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS STATED IT IS INDEED A NIGHTMARE TRYING TO GET AHEAD WITH THESE PEOPLE. I HAVE GOTTEN LUCKY AND LANDED A GOOD JOB RECENTLY THAT HAS ALLOWED ME TO MAKE A $2,500 PRINCIPAL PAYMENT ON MY ACCOUNT EVERY MONTH. BUT WAIT, THERE IS A CUTOFF DATE TO MAKE A PRINCIPAL PAYMENT....YOU MUST DO IT OVER THE PHONE(yes, pay the fee, trust me its cheaper then the interest) 4 DAYS AFTER THE BILLING CYCLE HAS STARTED WHICH MEANS BASICALLY AFTER YOU MAKE YOUR MINIMUM MONTHLY PAYMENT YOU MUST TURN AROUND AND A DAY LATER AND BE VERY NICE TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT AND AND SPECIFICALLY REQUEST A PRINCIPAL PAYMENT TO BE MADE, MAKE SURE YOU GET A CONFIRMATION NUMBER ETC. I HAVE BEEN PLAYING THEIR GAMES AND KEEPING TRACK OF THE DATES AND TIMES OF WHEN I MAKE A PAYMENT AND I HAVE FIGURED OUT ONE THING.....DO NOT BE LATE..BOTTOM LINE. I TOO WAS ONCE ON A "PROMOTIONAL" PLAN WITH LOW RATES AND LIKE A VAST MAJORITY OF FOLKS WHO EITHER LOST THEIR JOBS OR GOT HOURS CUT I WAS UNABLE TO MAKE MY PAYMENT BY THE DATE DUE AND BOY DID I EVER LEARN THE HARD WAY ABOUT THIS COMPANY. CONTACT 1 800 252 5265 AND ASK FOR LISA. I THINK SHE IS EVERYONES BOSS BECAUSE SHE HAS A BRAIN AND KNOWS HOW TO SPEAK TO PEOPLE AND GET PROBLEMS RESOLVED.

"DON'T BE LATE"
You cannot be late by even two days apparently. My husband was laid off in Aug 2009 and just barely got his job back. I was two days late on making the monthly payment because I was waiting on my paycheck and the bastards dared to call and tell us that if they do not receive at least $100 today (more than the minimum monthly payment) that they are going to be sending someone to collect the ATV we bought. I bought the ATV in 2007 and 3 years later have never been late on a payment. This was outrageous!!!! I will never recommend this credit card to anyone ever! Especially if HSBC is going to repo your vehicle after 2 days of being late. I would understand that if I had been 3 months late or more then sure that would make sense repo the damn thing. But 2 days come on people!! That's why I say HSBC are a bunch of money hungry bastards

"Great if you're responsible!"
Don't listen to the other reviews.. they are delinquents. The bank (HSBC) is great to deal with. Read the terms before you sign, so you know about the default rate and associated fees. If you decide to make a late payment, well they explain what will happen.

I've had no problems; I pay my bills. If you don't have enough savings to pay bills for a few months in the event of a "life incident" (as others put it) you really should have bad credit and pay 25% interest. Your irresponsibility makes it hard for banks to extend credit to anyone.

Most attractive feature: Two years no interest? Heck yes.
Least attractive feature: Nothing.. it's great as long as you PAY YOUR BILLS.
